Hey /musicprod/

My makeshift studio moniters finally fried themselves so I've decided to buy an actual pair of studio moniters. I want something good but cheap, so far I've got my eye on a pair of KRK Rokit5 g3's but I wanted to see what you guy's thought. I'm looking preferably between the $200-$250AUD mark so nothing too fancy.

I am a little naughty I use Hi-Fi speakers through an amp connected to a behringer mixer.

I use Krix speakers, they are handmade in Adelaide, Australia by a family of dedicated audiophiles.

Check them out. They are a bit pricey but they are cinema quality artisan speakers.

I'd save a little bit more of cash and get G5s instead. Those 5" woofers make a hell of a difference to your bass.

just spent a weekend producing on the KRK 5 and sound utter shit especially in some low frequencies (and by utter shit I mean adding lots and lots of resonance to stuff otherwise flat if you check on some good headphones)

Tried the yamaha, only reaction possible ?
