Rude :^(

Can't tell if you're joking or not, but Patrick Stickles is a highly talented composer, and this album's producer is highly skilled. I doubt anyone who'll ever post on this board can match them.

There's more to those vocals than recording a low tempo version and pitching up. So please respond if it's so easy.

So if anyone

the quiet part?

Record it,

sample rate dropped to 22050 to 11025 (aiming for over an old phone), EQ to fix any aliasing, and to bass-cut, Reverse, Chorus, Re-reverse, Post EQ.

either that or record it, and then send it through a land-line and a shitty phone, record the earpiece, and then do the rest of the processing. or transfer it to really shitty tape.

I'm not doing a cover or remix. I'm aiming for something pretty different, but I think the steps are similar. And for what I'm doing I still need high end details, which will be removed by your suggestion, and tape won't do this. It's definitely pitched, but something more is done to it.

you misunderstand me. I'm not saying to sample the song, I'm saying that in order to achieve that vocal effect at the quiet part you take your vocals, record it, and do the thigns to it that I described. I am 99% sure that this is what they did. I don't think it's pitched, I think that's just the EQ and sample rate tampering.

I see. Well, I'll try it out. Thanks. :^)

Okay, please keep your responses in this board civil. I don't want to have to ban anyone.

As far as I can tell, there are two separate vocal tracks, one sung at a normal low pitch and the other one octave higher, but rather low in the mix.

I'm not able to listen to it right now, but I'm pretty sure they're sung at the same octave. Two of the same, but with slight variations.
