They're going to try and make it "Meme Plus", or "Google Meme".
- Google will likely also want to replicate this concept into video form as well. They'll get him to work on a prototype for a video meme site, eg. try and "fix" the sinking ship that is YouTube, and all its drama-fueled problems that come with content being permanently hosted, rather than simply disappearing when a thread does. We know this, by how much Google gives no fucks about all the people using YouTube, and how much of a cluster-fuck that community is.
Think about it. People browsing fast-paced threads, the majority of whom are newfags that don't block adverts.
So, just like YouTube, they chuck their Google Ads in there, but pretend the whole thing is a super hip, rad imageboard flavor of Google. The users were initially drawn by the libertarian nature of 4chan–very little censorship or arbitrary lame rules, a culture of laughing in the face of TPTB, and since it was one of the first boards like this in English, it attracted the most followers, causing a snowball effect (I used 4chan because everyone else used 4chan–it wasn't dead like the others). Now m00t screwed it all up by betraying his initial ethics to impress a girl (nice one, m00t), and the market is totally swamped with competitors and fractured beyond repair. m00t couldn't reproduce his previous success even if he had skills and talent, which I'm not sure he does. He doesn't seem any better than Hotwheels, and 'wheels is so busy with asian prostitutes he probably hasn't turned on his computer in months.
