What you posted is speculative talk, not necessarily what would actually happen. Even if it were rather accurate, our county would be in ruins and we would be facing a mass casualty rate. The details behind that would be very very ugly, for all sides. You are talking about total breakdown and chaos here, and to trendy know-nothings this might sound fun… it guarantee you it would not. Examples:
Do you know how to properly dispose of dead bodies before they rot?
Do you know how to dispose of your own waste without services like garbage disposal and without working water appliances? No? If not you will end up dead from disease I can tell you that.
Are you aware that most communications would likely be down, including the internet and electric grid? Better know how to live without all that!
Would you know how to heat your home without a central furnace system? You don't want to die from the cold, do you?
Would you be ready without a given notice to protect and defend yourself from home invasions? Looters and marauders would be all over the place - 24/7! Have no one to take turns sleep shifting? One night you might not ever wake up again.
What about sanitation off-grid? No? Disease will kill you inevitably.
No long-term food storage? Dead! No long-term clean water storage or collection system? Dead!
Know how to suture yourself if you have deep lesions / open wounds? You better know how,or you could lose a limb, if not your life!
Doomsday prepping is a lot more detailed and complex than one may think. So is guerrilla warfare.
