This is a single purpose thread. Here, list boards that have been hostile to stream invitations, along with the specific reason they are worthy of being excluded from all further contact.

/fit/ - hostile shitposting, no support.

/mu/ - hostile shitposting, no support. (And after all I've done to participate there.)

/co/ - deleted thread.

/int/ - deleted thread.

/loli/ - deleted thread.

/a/ - deleted thread (of /grim/).

/pol/ - shitposting chat (can't shut up, everything is "the Jews did this!")

/pone/ - see attached graphic. If they can't understand why a stream operator might need to protect himself against impersonation, fuck them.

Other boards not to contact:

/amp/, /dsx/ - low attendance, and a permanent message pointing them at /nacht/ should they be interested. (This does not apply if your stream is on topic.)

Note that since promotion of streams is up to the discretion of the operator(s), this is not a rule. You can ignore this list completely if you like. This is just here as advance warning, so if you go to one of the above and get treated badly, don't say we didn't warn you.

I actually wonder if I should make a stream for /pol/ about jewish movies made for us, Hungarian goyim. They are pretty kekworthy, if you have some insight, which I could provide.

Maybe you should make a quick guide, just about which programs you use. That autopilot feature seems bretty good, just like the clock you use.

Actually the way I do it is pretty ebin, and I'm looking for something less time consuming. I use a countdown timer and Open Broadcaster Software to record a playback with the timer rolling. Then I play the recording back at stream time. It works, but it requires time equal to the duration of the event (meaning it takes 15 minutes to make a 15 minute bumper, plus a little time to set up the timer and such). If I make a mistake, or forget to turn off the "stream preview" before starting the recording (because this prevents it from actually recording), I just wasted that entire time. There has to be an easier way. I sure can't recommend the way I'm doing it.

What if you made a 15 minute video to use as your bumper and just make a playlist in VLC (or whatever) and capture that?

Never mind how I was doing things. I'm now using Windows Movie Maker.

While deleting stream invitations is a total cunt move, aren't you overreacting a bit to people calling you a friendgot? I mean, you know where we are, right?

If the apparent majority of users of a board don't want to be invited, then they won't be. I'm not doing this to piss people off. It's not just someone shitposting that scratches them off the list, anyone can do that. It's when nobody steps up to say "hey, you don't represent all of us" that I take it to be the general consensus.

I just sent this around (with some added bits in some cases) to all the boards that got the announcement this time, other than /b/ – because it ages threads off so quickly I'm not worried about it, and "random" is always on topic.

—————————————————————-

Important note:

Due to griping from a lot of corners about how I'm pushing legitimate traffic off the board, or being off-topic in general, or the fact that I'm not in this to annoy people – or to take personal abuse from assholes – I will no longer be sending invitations to any boards unless at least one film is directly relevant to that board.

This message is going to all the boards I have been notifying, and only some of them have had objections. Some of those objections were polite and well-reasoned. Some weren't. A quick search of the thread to which this is posted will reveal which category you likely fall into.

If you want to keep up on the movie nights that I run, you'll have to add >>>/nacht/ to your browsing list and check it once in a while. Weekly would be sufficient, most likely.

—————————————————————-

If this means a drop in viewership, so be it. Some people just don't want to see these invitations, others would prefer to defend their territory at the expense of actual content, and many are just dicks I don't want to placate any longer.

There are a handful of boards that probably will continue to get notices:

• /b/ (at the last minute): how can anything be off-topic in /b/?

• /film/: We're still showing movies, right?

• /tv/: Close enough to /film/ for my tastes.

• /k/: Because it's unlikely I'll have four movies with zero weaponry or explosions.

• /bane/: Because there's always a movie worthy of shitposting over, right?

• /monster/: Specific request from the board owner.

I would add /a/ to the list. Those fucking weebs deleted my thread for the /grim/ movie night/

Done. I can't say I'm surprised, I avoided both /a/ and /v/ because I was warned in advance that they tend to respond that way.

So far /v/ hasn't deleted my thread and I've gotten only positive responses, though not very many.

> /pol/ - shitposting chat (can't shut up, everything is "the Jews did this!")

That is their way of showing that they appreciate your effort.

How many of these boards actually deleted your threads?

You have to remember that most boards have an early 404 feature that auto deletes any thread that has less than 10 replies after it passes page 5.

646c95 No.216

>>210

There was no doubt about the deletions. Things don't get pushed off even Page 5 in under an hour, except possibly on /b/. I was posting to a lot of boards before checking back where I started, and it was gone that quickly.

Plz come back to /mu/ Mal. ARF just isn't the same without you.

646c95 No.238

>>236

Short answer: no.

Long answer: No. The crowd turned on me when I tried to promote the very first movie night, after I'd gone out of my way to make it topical (by including my own music). Fuck that. As you noted, I contributed to ARF, I posted albums on request (if I had them), and I believed I was generally helpful around /mu/, but that was all forgotten in a flash when I was accused of "shilling". (Yeah, like I make any money from streaming movies I don't own.)

shieet, I must have missed that stream.

I had participated in the movie night if I knew about it
