I have to wonder, if we industrialized, would the Namibian government allow us to produce weapons for them? I have been wondering this as we seem to have many engineers and physicists here. With that said, perhaps building up our industry wouldn't be as hard as we would think, and we could produce Weapons for the Namibian army. Defense contracting is quite lucrative and we would easily dominate Namibia's economy with heavy industry and mining, since most of Namibia's industry is the production of fish, Meat, and leather products (http://www.nationsencyclopedia.com/economies/Africa/Namibia-INDUSTRY.html) We also could start car companies and set a new standard of quality. If we economically dominate the area, they cannot stamp us out. Especially not If we arm the Nambian government and produce the best in the world.

Anything that gives the Namibian government power, they will LOVE us for do, of course with the proper taxes and contracts.

We can use this to boost ourselves up secretly also, with their resources.

Of course that's the idea. If we control the economy, then we hold the trumpcard.

YES if we invest in technology we could become a very powerful micronation.

They import weapons, fuel and chemicals. making any of these would give us tremendous power.

Weapons in 2015 are pretty fucking complicated. It isn't like it was in World War I when you could put together a patchwork tank with farming implements.

Keep in mind that even the Indians and Chinese don't have completely indigenous defense industries. Also keep in mind that Lockheed Martin and Mikoyan have over half a century lead time. Even for small arms, why would defense ministries around the world take a risk with an unknown when Colt and Kalashnikov Concern are well-established names?

The far, far likelier scenario is for this country to be a net importer.

yes, but how did those companies get so high up though? Quality. If you demonstrate to defense ministries that your product is better, they will come to you.

this build build quality weapons specifically for African conditions

They might just take the lowest bidder

Its hard to make weapons that are cheaper than 60 year old Russian surplus in Africa

I've been thinking of starting a line of gourmet pet food for awhile. I've already done a small scale test run of the product, and everything went well. I just need the logistics and enough interest to go large
scale. The beauty of selling cat food is the fact that most of my customers would be feminist, homos, divorced spinsters and those wierd guys who own cats. All the biggest degenerates ever known to man. Skimming sheckles from their pockets to invest in a predominately white, conservative homeland gives me a boner.

Bourgeois luxuries probably aren't the best things to be focusing on in Africa.

No once were settled in as an actual industry. If it's feasible ship it worldwide, the pet food industry is worth about 20 billion in the U.S., not sure how much of that is cat food. Propbably a bit.

Using scraps and offal from Namibias sizeable meat and seafood industry… it could be feasible if international shipping is cheap.

sure. Were is it?

It's a nice idea, but how can you compete with the Chinese on price?

Even Denel is having trouble coping with reduced demand after 1994. The SADF and SWATF both needed a lot of military equipment because of the Struggle, but these days there isn't a lot of need for that kind of thing.

You could target overseas markets I suppose.

673da6 No.6001

>>6000
The prices would be difficult, but we could compete with originality and innovation. That should be our main focus.

Redesign the G3 for desert conditions :^)

673da6 No.6159

to extrapolate on this, we should have other settlements in Iron, copper, oil rich areas, in order to supply our industry with raw materials.

Getting involved with a government like that is seriously risky.

You start getting into kickbacks and bribery, which is essentially what has caused the downfall of the West. The banking sector took over politics with this method, then cooperated with the governments to fund both World Wars, and the proxy wars which have been going on ever since.

Plus, it's downright immoral to fund our new community off the back of labour stolen from other people (known as otherwise as taxation)
