Are people still psyched about this? or has it tapered off? I was really excited.. I hope something is still going on backstage…

It seems like the natsocs went underground behind their NGO and private forums. Try sending email to that Latvian guy and they should let you in if you match their criteria.

Apropos, would anyone else be interested in a project similar but without the ideological ("racist") thema? I mean an Agricultural Colony based on freedom, free-for-all, no-state-religion, no-state-ideologies, very-small-government, fathers-of-founding-fathers type of version of this all?

To concentrate mainly on agricultural/industrial/business sides of this colony would be the main goal. People inside could have their own ideologies and religion, build own churches and form parties if they want. You know, freedom of speech without discrimination. Be you stalinist, hippie or nazi, you're still welcome. Think North America at 16-18th century.

As an idea I love this thing a lot, entrepeneurship, agriculture, colonizing (almost) unlivable outskirts and leaving your home to try to make something of your own just makes me really excited.

There were already people discussing about better changes in Botswana so maybe here could be enough people to start a spin-off project.

Let's all be self-made men/women in Africa.

Namibia cant work because we can't buy land in Namibia. Botswana is right next door and is better in every aspect

That's pretty much what I want. After gamergate, and all the political shit, I'm all for fucking off to the middle of nowhere just to be left alone, and I could do without the "ideological thema" as you put it. I love the pioneer aspect of the idea, and I hope it works out because I'd love to pitch in. I hope maybe the botswana idea takes off at least.

Yeah, I think the big disadvantages with Botswana is it's more populated, and it's landlocked, but maybe it could still work.

Maybe we'll just have to wait if more people still have this idea and would like to join in before forming a new board.

Or did they all really go with the original plan into hiding?

Yeah, I'm sure about making a new board. I guess it's up to RIDF.

As for those associated with the original plan, I have no idea. I only found out about the board about a week before the vice hitpiece, and things were already slow then. I'm not sure what happened to the core guys after that. Maybe if one happens by they can throw us a bone and maybe fill us in on the current status.

Guess I cant delete my mistakes her

Yeah, I'm NOT sure about making a new board. I guess it's up to RIDF. Frankly I'm just a new hanger on, trying to learn more about the current status, I don't think I should have any pull.

A lot of it right now is just waiting on the NGO.

There's not really much else to talk about.

I thought the chinese were buying up everything in Namibia, how are they doing it?

Chinese corporations with billions of dollars are buying land for mining. And its only leasing for 99 years, not technically purchasing

In all honesty your best bet is to buy a old oil platform put in international waters. From there, if you could pull it off, you could start a service to take countries (organic) waste to use as earth mass to grow it and turn it into an actual island.

Like follow the general idea behind spiral island: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnLhWpy_nqI

I guess those in the inner circle need to decide if this board even has a purpose anymore, and if they need those of us just staring in anymore. I like the project, but I wish I knew about the current health of the project.

I still stand by this statement. I've seen it claimed that the board quieting down was part of the plan. I just want reassurance that there is a still a plan.

I understand trying to keep things quiet (especially after bad press), but some details for those who may want to invest, but weren't early adopters would be nice.
