I'm not here to deter you guys, I really support the idea of a Euro settlement, and if a real plan is laid out and it turns out you guys will actually stand up, be brave, and go to Namibia, I'll gladly donate and contribute. However, I fear this might go bust like the other attempts by /pol/ to establish a European settlement.
I'm a bit of a rich fag. My father worked hard his whole life, and is leaving behind a massive fortune. I'm not disclosing the amount here, but I assure you it's ample to buy all the land in Namibia you want.
This added with an ample college fund would do a great deal for the settlement.
But a few questions…
1. Where in Namibia will we settle?
2. How will we attain self-sufficiency? I've done research into Namibia, and it's mostly a wasteland. You can't farm desert. and cattle can't graze on rocks.
3. Why specifically Namibia out of all the places on earth? Why not, like some anons have proposed, Patagonia? Or another part of Africa with more farmland like Zambia or SA or Botswana (which has a lower population and a better economy than Namibia)? Why pick such a desolate place?
4. Where is the leader? Who is directing all this? So far, this looks like a bunch of anons discussing how to do this, but there is no group of people or person to manage all this. I really would like to see someone competent step up and claim leadership and organize all this.
Naturally, I have many other smaller questions about this. But if you guys can pull your shit together and put on your big boy pants on for once, I will give you as much money as you need.

We are currently an amalgam of like-minded individuals, rich with ideas, and surprisingly our ideas are quickly fruiting to developing a natural order of communication and hierarchy of fundamental staff members.
We recently ran several polls to identify and help solidify who and what we stand for as individuals, and through that we found a common cause as a group.
>We have an active board with participants growing by the day.
>Research is constantly growing on the regions of Namibia and it's political and cultural potentials for cohabitation.
>We have created an IRC chat#namibia
which you can access at
http://webchat.freenode.net/#
>We are currently holding an expression of interest for potential first surveyors. We have chosen Namibia for several reasons:
>Extremely cheap land>Not all as inhospitable as you may believe>Cheap labor>Not a huge Namibian population>Small resistant military force (our claims may be held fast after being established)>Bordering Botswana for possible expansion>Bordering Angola for fuel>Not landlocked (useful for shipping/receiving/fishing/energy production)>Soon to be Chinese Migrants in Namibia who will establish trade-links and shipping terminals and services with China. There are many more reasons, but these are a few.

Now to answer your questions.
1. Where in Namibia will we settle?
>We have not committed to any area yet, we plan to send an initial survey team to test soil fertility and rendezvous with potential sellers.
2. How will we attain self-sufficiency? I've done research into Namibia, and it's mostly a wasteland. You can't farm desert. and cattle can't graze on rocks.
> We are underway the planning for farming within Namibia somewhat harsh environment. But it is entirely possible, with enough backing we can implement Farming in the North where land is more fertile as it is closer to the river. Also it has been suggested that Hydroponics, Aeroponics and various other forms of farming would eliminate a larger portion of the inhibiting factors to farming in such a climate.
3. Why specifically Namibia out of all the places on earth? Why not, like some anons have proposed, Patagonia? Or another part of Africa with more farmland like Zambia or SA or Botswana (which has a lower population and a better economy than Namibia)? Why pick such a desolate place?
> Cheap, Potential for expansion, Untapped mineral reserves, An existing white population in both Namibia, South Africa and remnants of Rhodesia. (Potential for immigration), Corruptible government, ect. ect. There is the potential for online casinos, banking and information storage in the future, all outside of spheres of influence.

This is all still in the brainstorming process. I have a shekel thread going, but other users have already pointed out that we won't just break even, we'll profit. Namibia, though, is only the start- we will be sending white nationalists to South Africa and Zimbabwe eventually.

I think tourism is a practical endeavor for us. Once we get decent facilities up and get good knowledge of the land and the creatures, we could probably start taking tourists in. Maybe we could set up gambling or something for them to waste their money on (depending on if it's legal in Namibia).
We'd be very safe, clean, etc.

>>1518Casinos are legal, so are online casinos. They had a moratorium for a time, but that ended in 2006. Online casinos are a multi-billion dollar industry, and there are limitations on where you can set them up and further limitations on where you can live if you own one.
Probably the best option as far as making money goes.
I could actually write an entire online casino from scratch. I'm a fairly accomplished game and web developer. Unfortunately, I could not run one or be part of a partnership that made money from one.
I could program and sell the code to you guys though. I've made multi-million dollar platforms before, and I'm sure I can do the same with an online casino.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Namibia#OverviewThe country's sophisticated formal economy is based on capital-intensive industry and farming. However, Namibia's economy is heavily dependent on the earnings generated from primary commodity exports in a few vital sectors, including minerals, especially diamonds, livestock, and fish. Furthermore, the Namibian economy remains integrated with the economy of South Africa, as the bulk of Namibia's imports originate there.

>>1571I live in the US. I could be part of a partnership for a brick and mortar casino in a foreign country, but not an online casino.
People who have ran online casinos and visited the US have been arrested by the feds. The only thing you might be able to do is make foreign online casinos where people place bets like with poker, but they could still shut you down, freeze your accounts, and make your life shit.
I could still develop tech and act as a consultant though. I also know some professors who have worked with several area casinos to build models to ensure profitability.

Section 26 of the 1990 Act states that no Namibian citizen may also be a citizen of a foreign country. However, this section of the act states that it is subject to the provisions of other laws. In a 2011 High Court case, Judge Dave Smuts ruled that a Namibian citizen by birth or descent could not be deprived of citizenship without consent, effectively legalising multiple citizenship for those citizens.[3][4] Applicants for naturalisation, however, must still renounce all their other citizenships under Section 5(1)(g) of the Citizenship Act.
