I would suggest against flags. I've been through 4chan, 4chon, 5chon, Freedomboard, and all the rest, and it seems to me that mandatory, non-customizable flags just cause infighting and the like.
While it might be useful to be able to identify posters from parts of the world which may be inherently at odds with our mindset, I personally feel like the evidence shows that the infighting that results isn't worth it. And as for customizable flags… why? What's the benefit?
