Firstly, National Socialism IS about brutality (to those who seek to do you and your people harm), but it is also about fairness, natural order, tradition, blood, and even kindness (to your kin and race).
Next, assuming the Jewish family was from Germany, sometime in the 6 years before WW2 they would have been given the opportunity to leave Germany for British Palestine. All of their property and non-essential items would be sold in Germany, the money from that would pay for tickets to Palestine, then upon arrival in Palestine the left over money not spent on the tickets would be available for "cash out" at a bank there. However, with the opportunities for peaceful alternatives to war with Poland (and the Allies) running short, it was realized that shipping the Jews to Palestine would not be possible in the near future, so the decision was made to temporarily incarcerate those Jews that didn't leave in designated housing (ghettos), or in specially designed "prisons" (concentration camps). After the war had been resolved, these Jews that were incarcerated would be moved to Palestine or Madagascar. All in all, I think that for a large amount of people that did not belong there, they received stellar treatment up until German towns, farms, and supply lines started being bombed, causing famine and disease in the prisons.
Regarding how a differentiate between Jewish adults and children, I also have two different views on Zionists and Jews: whereby Zionists are corrupt and power-hungry Jews who aim to conquer the world, and therefore must be stopped no matter the methods; and Jews are a distinct religious, culture, and racial group, a nomadic people who tend to promote and inspire universalist monotheism, communist-like and leftist political views, as well as being a racially hybrid and sometimes sickly and unhygienic people genetically. This may sound negative, but I do believe that if they end their nomadic ways and stick to one location on earth (preferable Israel) where they are denied both WMDs and political influence abroad, the net amount of problems they cause will reach zero. They might even improve themselves in all regards over time. Therefore there is no need to differentiate between adults and children in this instance. I believe them to be humans regardless of their age, prompting humane treatment no matter the age (although Zionists do not deserve the same), whereas the Zionistic Talmud believes only the Jews to be legitimate human beings.
I am no stranger to Himmler's radical political views (even for NatSoc standards) or his affinity for brutish solutions to problems, however, I have never heard of this statement before. My first reaction was honestly that it is probably false, or that you made it up, but I am curious, and I cannot find that specific statement anywhere, so could you please post a link to it so that I can review it, research it, and then make my comments?
