There's no need to go full /weebpol/ and focus on the "deep redpilled animes" (m-muh 30 years old cartoon about space germans!1!).

Not denying that there aren't animes that make you think, but what /pol/ watches isn't to challenge their worldview, but to confirm it. They wouldn't search for "redpilled" media if they weren't so obsessed with their position being true.

There's nothing more hilarious on /pol/ than posting an anime girl (maybe with a hebrew filename) and an opinion that disagrees with the standard /pol/itically correct theme. You get a fuckload of butthurt autists squealing about muh shills, muh hasbara, muh jews.

It's such a fun experience that everyone, regardless of political, racial or sexual deviation has to enjoy it.

The hilarious thing about anime is it's rife with nationalistic and anti-multicultural themes, but the snowflakes see characters with rainbow hair and think they're just like them. It's a medium that has a lot of facets, but a lot of it is used to preserve and export Japanese culture. The machinations of this are completely lost to the rainbows and casual viewer though.

If you're specifically interested in tackling western lore, give Mahou Tsukai no Yome a read.

I agree there's some really good older anime (Votoms, LoGH, Angel Cop etc.), especially sci fi stuff.

Although I find the demonization of cute stuff a bit ridiculous too. Sure there are too many boring SoL shows, but that too can be nice and relaxing sometimes. Most things can be good if you don't overdo them.

It's just a shitty genre, part of an increasingly shitty culture that projects the mind of the modern Jap. It's not 'white' or 'redpilled' or anything like that. On a personal level, weebshit is getting increasingly less appealing to me and I don't let it go because nostalgia purposes and I have an interest in helping /am/ grow as a community.

/a/ culture is dead, anime is the same shit and the same shit gets boring after a while. Still consume manga and VNs from time to time though.

I phrased that oddly. I don't let it go because I have too many fond memories, but at the same time it's not wasting too much of my time so I just consider it a small hobby that I don't talk to anyone about.
