India - Chemical and Biological Weapons Must Be BANNED

Use of chemical weapons must be condemned

India has called on the international community to be vigilant on non-state actors and terrorist groups seeking and using chemical weapons and said the use of such weapons anywhere and by anyone must be condemned.

"The use of chemical weapons anywhere and by anyone must be condemned and the international norm against the use of chemical weapons must not be breached," visiting Member of Parliament Abhishek Banerjee said at a debate on weapons of mass destruction at the First Committee of the General Assembly here on Thursday.

He said India contributed to international efforts under the UN and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) for the destruction of Syria's declared chemical weapon stockpiles.

"The international community should continue to be vigilant on non-state actors and terrorist groups seeking or using chemical weapons," he added.

Given that disarmament is a primary goal of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), the remaining possessor States should fulfil their obligations within the shortest possible time.

India completed the destruction of its chemical weapon stockpiles in 2009 within the stipulated time frame under the CWC.

The provisions of the Convention should be implemented in a manner that does not hinder legitimate activities, especially in countries like India with a large and growing chemical industry, he said adding that universality is fundamental to the success of the Convention.

He voiced India's commitment to improving the effectiveness of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and strengthening its implementation and its universalising.

"We believe this is necessary in view of the new challenges to international peace and security emanating from proliferation trends, including the threat posed by terrorists or other non-state actors seeking access to biological agents or toxins for terrorist purposes," he said.

He also supported a robust consultation process among all States Parties leading to the Eighth Review Conference next year, so as to contribute to its success through preparations on substantive and procedural issues.

He reiterated India's commitment to maintaining the highest international standards with reference to control of nuclear, chemical, biological and toxin weapons and their means of delivery.

"In this regard, India has made considerable progress in its engagement with the relevant multilateral export control regimes with a view to seeking full membership," he said.

US Student Detained in North Korea For Committing ‘Hostile Act’

>North Korea said on Friday it had detained a US university student for committing a “hostile act” against the country and was investigating. The state-run KCNA news agency said the person entered North Korea as a tourist and was “was caught committing a hostile act against the state.”

>There were no further details on what the act was – but officials said it was “tolerated and manipulated by the US government”. Tensions have been running high between the two countries after Kim Jong-un reportedly tested a nuclear weapon earlier this month.

You are under attack right now wherever you are

In your food in your water in your media in your education in your workplace in your banks in your cities and in your farms and in a woods and in the mountains. You are being attacked and you are under attack. You must fight back. It is your right to live. TO LIVE NOT TO WAIT UNTIL DEATH.

THE GLOBAL BANKERS THAT INSTITUTE A DEHUMANIZING CAPITALISM ON THE WORLD ARE FLOODING YOUR COUNTRIES WITH PEOPLE OF LOW EDUCATION, LOW BELIEF IN FREEDOM OR TOLERANCE, AND LOW INHIBITION TO VIOLENCE

You. Must. Fight. Now.

You CAN NOT WIN BY THROWING AROUND VOTES. YOUR BALLOTS WILL NOT SAVE YOU. ONLY ORGANIZATION IN YOUR COMMUNITY. AMMUNITION IN YOUR SUPPLY LINES. AND TRUTH FROM YOUR MOUTH WILL SAVE YOU.

WHETHER YOU ARE A MUSLIM WHO WANTS TO LIVE IN PEACE, NOT PERPETUAL JIHAD WAR, WHETHER YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN WHO WANTS ALL HUMANITY TO LIVE IN PEACE. WHETHER YOU ARE AN ATHEIST WHO BELIEVES ALL GODS AND MYTHS ARE FABLES WRITTEN BY HUMANS AND NOTHING MORE.

You must fight to survive.

They will not stop until you are genetically broken, unable to be healthy, unable to have a family, unable to even function mentally. They want nothing but obedience from you. They want the poor to kick in the mud, while they steal banks, steal governments, steal forests and food. They only want power over you and to lord it above you at any cost.

Melbourne's Ormond College BANS Students From Accessing Online Pornography

>In what might be deemed a radical move, The University of Melbourne's largest residential college banned access to pornography on campus.

>This means students at Ormond College will be blocked from accessing "adult sites" on Wi-Fi networks.

>The reason for this is straightforward. As college master Dr. Rufus Black stated, pornography is exploitative and "presents women primarily as sex objects who are a means to the end of male pleasure."

>While Black told Jill Stark at The Age that "allowing the college's 400 students to access porn on its network would be condoning the objectification of women," some students felt the ban limited "freedom of expression." Apparently, for men, facials are an art form.

Reliable news?

So guys, first time looking through /news/

Just thought I would ask where you guys/girls get your news from ?

I don't watch tv and rarely look at the mainstream media. However recently many of my friends are posting links/videos and statements regarding things such as ISIS/ect.

Quite frankly most of it looks like one giant ball of shit. However the typical wheel of hate is spinning away and there have been several occasions where I find myself pissed off or arguing with utter jackasses about the bullshit they see on the news.

I am not to good with politics because to be honest it never interested me during my teens. However I would like to become more knowledgeable about world wide events and not just the mainline bullshit that the media/government want me to believe.

Where is the best place (websites, news pages e.g twitter) to get reliable none invented news.

tl;dr — where does /news/ get its news from ?

Google exec: ISIS must be driven from the open web

http://www.extremetech.com/internet/221801-google-exec-isis-must-be-driven-from-the-open-web

>Google’s “head of ideas” Jared Cohen declared this week that ISIS must be driven from the so-called “open web,” and forced to rely on dark web services and the Tor network if the world is serious about forcing curtailing the terrorist organization’s use of Twitter, Facebook, and other social media.

>Cohen noted that while it’s not possible to prevent ISIS or other terrorist organizations from using the Internet entirely, the groups currently operate on the same networks that the rest of the world uses. This makes it much easier for Daesh to reach its target audience.

>“What ISIS is doing is reflective of the times,” Cohen said, “As opposed to some sort of new sophistication that magically appeared.”

>ISIS’s rise to power and its use of modern digital media has been much-studied in recent years. Last December, George Washington University released a major report “From Retweets to Raqqa,” which examined how the terrorist organization uses social media to spread its message and radicalize curious readers. GWU’s research found that while ISIS uses a wide range of services, including Facebook, Google Plus, Kik, WhatsApp, and Tumblr, Twitter is the social media site of choice. Twitter already patrols and bans the accounts of ISIS supporters. But in the eternal game of cat-and-mouse, pro-terrorist forces seem to have an edge, creating and boosting new accounts just as quickly as Twitter can ban them.

>Social media companies were already stepping up their battle against Daesh, Reuters reported in December, but were doing so quietly, to avoid the perception that they were acting on behalf of the government or as agents of the state. EU leaders have met with the heads of Facebook, Google, and Twitter to demand faster action to ban such accounts. If that report is accurate, the degree of cooperation between the government and social media sites on these issues is deeper and more subtle than is commonly known, yet such links haven’t yet stopped Islamic terrorists from leveraging the modern Internet to spread their message.

Balancing anti-terrorism against freedom of speech

>Few would argue ISIS, or any terrorist organization, deserve the right to spread messages of radicalization and hatred in any public venue. But identifying exactly which accounts and individuals need to be silenced to prevent further communication of an ideology is anything but simple. In an interview with The Intercept, Bruce Schneier pointed out that terrorism attacks are extraordinarily rare in America — since 2001, there have been nine Jihadist attacks that claimed a total of 45 lives. Right-wing extremism has claimed a roughly similar number. (Politifact goes into some detail on this, for those who want to investigate the figures.) Whenever something is extremely rare, you need an extremely accurate test to identify it, or else you risk generating huge numbers of false positives.

ISIS Tweets

>The ISIS echo chamber. Figure by GWU.

In other words, very, very few Americans, including those who publicly profess some degree of support of terrorism either in this country or abroad, actually do anything. Yet as George Washington University’s report points out, it’s this retweeting and amplification of other people’s words that creates the impression that ISIS enjoys more support than it’s actually believed to possess. This, in turn, leaves both governments and corporations (which aren’t exactly thrilled at being turned into pro-ISIS message boards) eager to “do something.”

>Cohen’s declaration, that we need to force ISIS into the dark web, is far more nuanced than Donald Trump’s claim that we should consult Bill Gates on closing the Internet. That doesn’t mean it’s a workable concept, and the last 15 years should make anyone wary of expanding how we track and catalog citizens online. America’s War on Terror may have begun as an effort to crush the Taliban, but it was quickly used to justify the mass surveillance of American citizens, warrantless wiretaps, the widespread use of stingrays at every level of government, and the invasion of Iraq — which, incidentally, is how ISIS got started in the first place.

>The urge to “do something” is human nature, but poorly considered strategies are why we see governments now arguing that strong encryption must be outlawed. I agree with Cohen that pushing ISIS back into the dark web is a worthy goal, but no one has yet demonstrated a credible strategy for achieving this without imposing prior restraint laws on US citizens that would almost certainly run afoul of the First Amendment. Stopping the spread of radical extremism and Daesh are both worthy goals — but not before carefully considering what existing technology can actually accomplish, and what sacrifices would be required to achieve the desired result.

CISA Returns...again!

Well this is awful.

https://archive.is/EkWte

> A surveillance bill that has been in limbo for six years has cleared a crucial vote in the Senate.

>A vote of 83-14 to end debate on a bundle of amendments to the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA) went through the Senate on Thursday. The controversial bill would provide incentives for companies to share user data with the federal government.

>Thursday’s vote was the first serious step toward the passage of CISA, but the long-stalled bill faces more debates and procedural votes in the future.

Senate also nixed the amendment suggested by libertarian-leaning Senator and presidential candidate Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), whose campaign website says that the bill “would transform websites into government spies.” The measure only got 32 votes, short of the simple majority it needed to pass.

The Kentucky senator suggested an amendment to protect the privacy of company’s user data. While CISA would normally protect grant companies immunity from liability for breaking privacy agreements with their customers, Paul’s amendment would strip of them of this immunity.

>One of the amendments that the Senate agreed end debate on and allow is from co-sponsors Senators Richard Burr (R-North Carolina) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif). It was put forward to mitigate some of the privacy and surveillance fears that have kept CISA off the Senate floor for so long, and it’s expected to be adopted by the Senate.

"We have been at this for six years," said Feinstein just before the vote, according to The Hill. "This is the third bill. We have been bipartisan."

>The Burr-Feinstein amendment is meant to assuage fears by restricting the type of data that companies can share, and set up a system to remove personal data that the government accidentally receives under the measure.

>CISA has broad bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress and from the Obama administration.

I KNOW WHY NOTHING HAPPENED IN SEPTEMBER

people were waiting, following all the signs that were happening, everything was falling into place and the economy was set to have an immeasurably huge crash, JADE HELM 15, and all the like was all set to come crashing down all at once. I'm not here to prove that "OH LE NO ANOTHER HAPPENING IS HAPPENING" I'm here to say that I know EXACTLY why nothing insanely important happened in september.

-=0=

The reason is: everyone would not shut up about it. people everywhere and the entire internet exposed everything and screamed to the top of their lungs "THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING" and people actually made themselves ready, people prepared, the government got scared, and everyones mom said you going to live with your aunti and uncle in bel air.

you and me and everyone else opened the door, exposed all the truth on the floor, and we all walked the dinosaur.

do you understand what I'm saying? we lifted the curtains, we wrote a complaint to everyone. WE TOLD THE TEACHER ON THEM.

probably their only stupid backup plan was to let "nothing" actually "happen" so that everyone would run around screaming AHAHA I TOLD YOU NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN! I TOLD YOU YOUR STUPID CONSPIRACY THEORIES WERE FALSE YET AGAIN!!!

but I'm here to tell you that you all did great. a handshake to 8chan and a salute to liberty and freedom.

I don’t have any background music to run. I don’t think I need any background music, because, you know, what

I am about to tell you is something that is very, very dramatic. It is very serious. Without giving too much

information away and sources and things of that sort, I have had a major confirmation by a gentleman who is a

Four Star General.

I had a conversation with this source until about like 1 AM in the morning last night, and I had to post this audio

interview, because as this audio interview was being put together, I was thinking about what to say, you know,

as it was actually happening. I was working on this article, the article that I just posted, “The New World

Reordered.” It is not my longest article, but there is enough information there that you can begin to see an

emerging picture here. It’s very key – it’s very, very important, and this audio that I am giving you guys is also

very, very important.

This Four Star General – let me give you a little background about this guy. He is Air Force – he’s actually a

real prominent individual within the Air Force. He’s a very elite individual, in the sense that he is one of the few

who went from being a Major to a Four Star General within a span of four years. That’s how much of a hot shot

this guy is. He is also in charge – or was in charge – of Asymmetrical Warfare. Okay, so they war gamed a lot of

things – and if you do not know what asymmetrical warfare is, basically, it is fighting a war in an

unconventional way, that it defeats the enemy without firing a shot. That’s asymmetrical warfare, but of course

the reality is, shots are always fired.

That being said, this gentleman was called upon because he was going to be the next in line for Joint Chiefs of

Staff after Dempsey gets down, and he will be representing the United States Air Force. So they’ve approached

him with a FISA contract – it is a contract that is bound for life. The stipulations on the contract are that he, as a

commanding officer, should be able to fire and kill – and give the orders to kill – American citizens on

American soil. This was something that was so out of the ordinary, so out of left field, that it absolutely shook

this gentleman to the core. He would have no part in it, no part in it whatsoever. He in fact went on to say that

he angered the people that were sitting around the conference room table – that he was escorted from Langley

by two armed guards.

When Satanism Met The Internet

>Almost everything you think you know about “Satanism” is wrong. If you think Satanism is a load of attention-seekers in flowing cloaks pretending to raise the dead while blaspheming against Christianity and generally being offensive… well, okay, you’re half-right. But it turns out that the word “Satanism” has evolved to describe a complex web of political and social ideologies, each of which has been shaped by the evolution of the internet.

>Satanism as a movement is at something of a crossroads. It has always dealt with what supporters call fear and misunderstanding from outsiders—it’s called Satanism, after all—but the modern age of social media, memes, clickbait journalism and “hot take” blogging has created confusion and disagreement even within its own ranks. Two groups, the Church of Satan and the Satanic Temple, are clashing over what it means to be a Satanist.

>An internal fight over “what is Satanism?” wouldn’t normally be interesting to the outside world, except that it’s part of a larger cultural pattern that we are all experiencing online. The American left is having a tug-of-war between classical liberals, who value diversity, and authoritarian censors who want to squash anything they deem offensive. Within the American right, the big business Washington insiders struggle against Tea Party libertines over what it means to be a “real conservative.”

>Painful ideological schisms in previously homogenous movements are everywhere, and they are being fuelled at least in part by the “democratization of information” on the internet. The internet is a place where anyone can hang their shingle and push their own activism under any banner they wish. As a result, even well-established groups are struggling to maintain an identity and prevent it from being usurped by activists who seek to change or abuse labels. And what’s happened to those people who call themselves “Satanists” is a textbook case of how the internet splits political movements into authoritarians and libertarians.

Another example of the Internet going mad.

Stop White Genocide

This global White genocide is not being carried out through mass murder – it is being carried out through political policies.

On October the 10th, protesters gathered outside the town hall in Sydney, Australia. The “Party for Freedom in Sydney” organized the protest to speak out against the extremely brutal mass murders in South Africa of which White people are specifically a target of.

“It is not a matter that is talked about often. It is never seen in the news. It isn’t discussed around the water-cooler.” wrote sydneytrads.com, which first reported on the protest.

“The murder of Whites in South Africa has a particularly savage element to it, above and beyond the merely criminal. It reeks of malice and racially motivated violence.”

“Some of the stories are truly horrific: a family brutally clubbed to death – save for the twelve year old son who was thrown into a scalding bath bound and gagged, whist the family dog was disemboweled.”

“A whole family cut up with an axe; a mother and daughter are raped and tortured seemingly for kicks; a man is stabbed 150 times and his wife and child shot at close range and other reports include the pouring of boiling water down the throats of an elderly couple and farmers being dragged behind vehicles. These are not mere acts of violence incidental to theft or other criminal activity.”

One eyewitness said “most of the people who yelled at us today were women, and all of them were White. I really don’t understand what they’re going on about. Why should the mass murder of Whites, many of whom are women and children, not be a cause for concern? That’s what we’re protesting about!”

Another person asked “do these people think we should be ignoring something that would be a cause of large scale public denunciations if it were perpetrated against, say, indigenous Australians? So it’s OK to treat Whites this way? Is that what I’m supposed to take from the abuse we got?”

Things are so bad in South Africa that one politician who was campaigning for presidency had to promise that there would “never be a white genocide” under his rule, after he was caught singing about shooting White people.

This is precisely why we all must stand united against White Genocide, not just in South Africa, but the one that’s taking place globally.

There is often some confusion to what we mean by this, let me explain. This global White genocide is not being carried out through mass murder – it is being carried out through political policies.

Firstly, majority White countries were all at the same time opened up to massive scale non-White immigration. Secondly “diversity” laws were put in place which are specifically meant to get more non-White people into White areas.

Both of these policies were put in place because there is a collective intent to get rid of White people, or at the very least, get rid of the White majority. This is White Genocide.

Sweden’s nationalists lead polls for first time

The Sweden Democrat party has been gradually rising in popularity since it scored 12.9 percent in the country’s last general election in September 2014.

But a survey by pollsters YouGov published in Sweden’s Metro newspaper on Thursday suggested that 25.2 percent of those questioned would now vote for the nationalists, who are calling for dramatic cuts in immigration to Sweden.

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven’s Social Democrat party - which remains in favour of helping large numbers of refugees from war torn nations - scored 23.4 percent in the poll. The centre-right Moderates, led by Anna Kinberg Batra who took over from the country’s former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt earlier this year, saw their share cut to just 21.0, having previously scored higher than their ruling rivals in recent surveys.

The Sweden Democrats, with roots in the country's most radical extreme right, entered parliament in 2010 with the ambition of curbing Sweden's immigration and refugee policy.

"There is a significant amount of dissatisfaction in general with the government, and not least against its immigration and integration policies,

and the begging issue. Many don't see the Moderates as an alternative on these issues so they turn to us instead," Sweden Democrats party secretary Richard Jomshof told news agency TT in a comment on the strong poll showing.

Political scientists were split on how to interpret the YouGov poll which was carried out last week, following both a high profile campaign by the Sweden Democrats to ban begging on Stockholm’s subway, and a double stabbing outside an Ikea store, for which two Eritrean asylum seekers were arrested, with one admitting to the crime.

Sören Holmberg from Gothenburg University told Metro: “This is not like this is very surprising. We have long seen this tendency that SD [the Sweden Democrats] are heading for an increase [in support]”.

Stina Moran, another political expert, said the survey suggested that other mainstream parties had not done enough to shape debates in Sweden about immigration, but argued it was extremely unlikely that the nationalists would win the next election in 2018.

She said that the timing of the poll provided “special circumstances” that may have made respondents more supportive of the Sweden Democrats.

“It was made in connection with the murders at Ikea. The mood on the web and on social media was incredibly hostile just then,” she argued.

“Of course one in four Swedes are not racist or want to throw out immigrants, they just want to stir the pot and get the other parties to listen to their concerns.”

The YouGov survey is based on interviews with 1,527 participants partly selected through an online application process where respondents themselves sign up. Although the pollster has been known to accurately predict shifts to smaller parties in the past, its method was also widely criticized on Thursday.

"The problem with YouGov is that they don't use randomly selected people. This is a self-recruited panel where we don't know in what way respondents differ from the population as a whole," political scientist Andreas Johansson told the Expressen newspaper.

And the chief executive of Stockholm-based pollsters Novus hinted that his organization would be presenting a different result later in August.

"Take it easy and breathe," he wrote on Twitter. "At the moment [our survey] looks dramatic, but not this dramatic."

Anastasia Lechtchenko Masney: Russian Girl Removes Eyes, Heart Of Mother, Sister In Mexico Witchcraf

Anastasia Lechtchenko told law enforcement officials that she killed her mother and sister because they were going to put a hex on her, commonly referred to as brujeria or witchcraft.

The girl has been having problems with her mother, causing her to run away from home for a time before being located in the drug cartel-infested state of Sinaloa, Mexico. As of now, she remains free until a judge in Tijuana signs the arrest order.

Using witchcraft or brujeria against someone in Mexico has become a common way to solve all kinds of problems in society, such as illness, money problems, delinquent behavior in children, and even revenge. About this widespread problem, Mujahid Hussein told the Christian Monitor the following.

Sweden Loves Immigrants

When former prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt in the defining moments of the election campaign of 2014 urged the public to open “their hearts” to more asylum seekers it proved that Sweden was different, or as some might put it ‘weird’.

Few conservative leaders would have done what Reinfeldt did at the time. There has been a strong consensus in Sweden among the established parties about the benefits of immigration. The kind of anti-immigrant rhetoric that has become norm in many other European countries has not filtered into the mainstream press.

The Sweden Democrats are excluded from influence in parliament through a deal Social Democratic prime minister Stefan Löfven did with the centre right over Christmas. The deal saved his government and has therefore been controversial within the centre right: “Why are we saving a Social Democratic government?” many conservatives have been asking themselves during the last six months. “Is it really that important to keep the Sweden Democrats away from influence?”

Reinfeldt’s successor as leader of the opposition, Anna Kinberg Batra, has however defended the deal very firmly.

The internal conflicts about how to handle the fact that around 18 per cent of the Swedish electorate say they would be voting for the Sweden Democrats are however not limited to the opposition.

Stefan Löfven is governing together with the Greens and the Social Democrats and their junior coalition partner tend to have different views about how to deal with the challenges posed by around 70,000 asylum seekers coming to Sweden every year. The Social Democratic finance ministry has proposed lower benefits for asylum seekers in order to keep costs in check. This was blocked by the Greens. The same thing happened with proposals for things like a ‘safe country of origin’ list, to speed up the denial of applications from people coming from countries not considered dangerous enough. This kind of tension within the government will probably not go away.

Meanwhile Löfven has been criticised for being invisible. Nobody can tell what his political project is. The question “Who is in charge?” is often asked about the government. And more worryingly: the country.

Löfven was an outsider; a well-liked and respected union man. Unfortunately he still struggles with how to be a politician.

The easiest way to fix his image problem would probably be to simply start governing. After all the strength of Swedish social democracy has always been its ability to take action. Not its ability to talk.

Sweden’s commitment to taking its responsibility for asylum seekers in Europe is important and admirable. It will however also cost money. Most of these costs are today carried by local authorities. Local politicians have demanded help from the central government for years and finally the government has opened negotiations with the opposition on the issue. They have also committed to more state money going to local authorities with a large number of refugees.

Another big problem is that many municipalities in the heavily decentralised Swedish system simply refuse to take any asylum seekers. These tend to be wealthy municipalities run by the centre right. The effect of this is a heavy concentration of refugees in certain areas of Sweden, in many cases with poorer residents and more social problems. Something needs to be done about this.

Sweden is also worse than comparative countries at getting immigrants and refugees into the labour market.

This is a huge problem and would require a lot of Social Democratic soul searching in order to fix. It can however be done.

Greedy immigrants

These are the kind of people Swedish cucks pay 30 billion Swedish Kroner to.

This shows why they are in Europe.

http://jyllands-posten.dk/international/europa/ECE8161915/Asylans%C3%B8gere-n%C3%A6gter-at-st%C3%A5-af-bus-i-Sverige---vil-tilbage-til-Tyskland/

(Translated)

Since Sunday night, they slept in the two buses, which are parked in the small village Limedsforsen approximately 400 km northwest of Stockholm.

50 asylum seekers mostly from Iraq and Syria arrived Sunday in two buses to a collection of cabins in the woods, as in the next period of time will be their home. But they refused to get off the buses when it dawned on them that they were in an isolated area.

The nearest grocery stores are thus 20 minutes walk away.

"They say that we have to stay here, but it doesn't suit us at all. We have children and a pregnant woman, it is too cold, there are no shops and no doctor, so it is not appropriate for us to stay here, "said Hadeel waez from Syria to SVT.

Several of them take turns to sleep in the buses, so there can always be someone in front of the vehicles and blocking the road.

Ahmad Assaf from Lebanon is one of them.

"No one wants to stay here in the woods. Some are afraid of the woods, others of the dark, and there's nothing to do for the kids. No playgrounds or anything, "he told Aftonbladet.

Since Sunday, more of the new arrivals have been persuaded to be accommodated, but Tuesday afternoon there were still 14 asylum seekers who held out.

Some of them said that they regretted that they had sought asylum in Sweden and wish to withdraw their applications to try in Germany instead.

While one of the villagers have chosen to take the reluctant on a sightseeing tour of the city to convince them that the place is not so bad, Tuesday night a man chose to go to the cabin area and threaten the asylum seekers, who were in the bus.

"The man had gone and knocked on the bus and said that they should go back to their homeland," said the duty officer at the police in Dalarna to SVT.

Hadeel waez told SVT that the man threatened her father on his life.

It is far from the first time that disappointed asylum seekers refuse to leave buses in protest of accommodation offers in Sweden. A month ago it happened for example. in the city Fredriksberg.

The Swedish Migration Board, Migrationsverket, says that asylum seekers are welcome to find accommodation themselves if they are unhappy, but the Agency is not able to provide other places as Sweden is under enormous pressure to find shelters for the many asylum seekers coming into the country.

The chief economist of The Economist magazine, Simon Baptist, believes that the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal is dead following the failure of final round negotiations in Hawaii last week. Here’s Baptist’s latest commentary on the TPP from his latest email newsletter:

The latest talks on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) did not end well and election timetables in Canada and the US mean that the prospect of a deal being ratified before the end of 2016 (at the earliest) is remote. The usual problem of agricultural markets was prominent, headlined by Canada’s refusal to open its dairy sector. For New Zealand—one of the four founder countries of the TPP, along with Brunei, Chile and Singapore—this was a non-negotiable issue. Dairy was not the only problem. As usual, Japan was worried about cars and rice, and the US about patent protection for its pharma companies.

The TPP was probably doomed when the US joined

Environmentalists Getting Murdered in Brazil

The killers came from the forest, the very same forest Raimundo Santos Rodrigues so loved.

The environmentalist had spent years defending one of the last pristine swathes of the eastern Amazon rain forest from loggers, miners and farmers. But his activism had earned him enemies in Brazil’s northern state of Maranhão.

And on Tuesday afternoon, those enemies pounced.

Santos Rodrigues and his wife were riding their motorbike from the market back to the Biological Reserve of Gurupi when two men suddenly emerged from the treeline, witnesses told local media. As the couple crossed a bridge, the gunmen opened fire, hitting both the environmentalist and his wife.

To ensure their objective, the assassins ran up to Santos Rodrigues and stabbed the injured man to death. His wife, Maria da Conceição Chaves Lima, was rushed to the hospital and is expected to live.

Santos Rodrigues had been a “marked” man because of his environmentalism, said a man who spoke to G1 anonymously for fear of also being targeted.

“Loggers hated him because he denounced them,” said a co-worker, also anonymously. “He was very active in the region, defending the community, attending the Union of Rural Workers of Bom Jardim.”

Officials have promised a thorough investigation and are treating the murder as an attack on a public official. Santos Rodrigues was a volunteer with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, part of the Ministry of the Environment.

“It will be treated with top priority,” said Alexandre Saraiva, a federal police superintendent.

But that promise appears hollow against the bloody reality in Brazil, widely considered the most dangerous country on earth for environmentalists.

Between 2002 and 2013, at least 448 environmentalists were killed in Brazil, according to Global Witness. That equates to roughly half of all the environmentalists murdered worldwide during that period.

According to local watchdog CPT, the grim tally is even worse: More than 1,500 Brazilians have been killed over the past 25 years fighting deforestation, and another 2,000 have received death threats, Men’s Journal reported in 2012.

Last year, 29 Brazilian environmentalists were murdered, again more than any other country, according to Global Witness.

The reasons behind Brazil bewildering conservationist killing spree are simple. The country’s land ownership is “among the most concentrated and unequal in the world,” leading to conflicts between subsistence farmers or indigenous groups and “well-connected landowners over who has the legal right to forests and land,” according to Global Witness.

“Magnates buy off local politicians and policemen, and kill anyone who challenges their agricultural practices,” according to Men’s Journal.

As in the slaying of Santos Rodrigues, environmentalists are in most danger inside or at the edges of the Amazon. The giant rain forest — which some activists fear will be half gone by 2030 — is the site of 68 percent of all such murders, according to Global Witness. First the trees are cut down by loggers, which then opens the land up to cattle ranchers, soy farmers or miners.

“Many people from the logging and mining companies think the only way to solve problems is by killing the people who defend the forest,” federal prosecutor Felício Pontes told Men’s Journal.

Like the Amazon itself, the problem of violence against environmentalists is shared by many Latin American countries. Last year, at least 25 environmentalists were killed in Colombia, according to Global Witness. Honduras (12), Peru (9), Guatemala (5), Paraguay (3) and Mexico (3) also reported multiple murders of conservationists in 2014.

Although more than 80% of the killings were in Latin and Central America, Asian environmentalists are also at great risk. Fifteen Filipinos were killed in 2014, followed by Thailand (4), Indonesia (2) and Myanmar (2), again according to Global Witness.

Almost none of these murders are ever solved, the group says. A 2014 Global Witness report found that 908 activists were killed in 35 countries between 2002 and 2013, yet there were only 10 convictions.

“What feeds the violence is the impunity,” Isolete Wichinieski, national coordinator of the Brazilian group Commisão Pastoral da Terra, told the Guardian.

California Monsato Class Action Suite

http://www.monsantoclassaction.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Monsanto-Glyphosate-Class-Action-4.20.2015.pdf

The tl;dnr version:

Monsato is being sued for false advertising because the enzyme that Roundup targets, epsp synthase, is also found in humans, which is in direct contradiction to the label on the packaging.

“GLYPHOSATE TARGETS AN ENZYME FOUND IN PLANTS

BUT NOT IN PEOPLE OR PETS.”

The bacteria that produce the enzyme exists in our stomachs and intestines. The suite goes on to allege that since Roundup kills bacteria and microflora outside the body that contains epsp synthase, it can have the same effect to the bacteria inside humans and animals.

http://www.i-sis.org.uk/Roundup_Listed_Carcinogen_by_Danish_Authority.php

Denmark has listed it as a carcinogen since the lawsuit was initially filed.

“We know that glyphosate causes cancer in other mammals, but it has not been demonstrated in humans. That is because the effects are not investigated thoroughly enough in people yet. But when we see that other mammals get cancer from glyphosate, we must assume that people who are exposed to the substance can also develop cancer,” Grandjean says.

World Banks Dominate while pretend enemies "war"

He looks up in admiration at a portrait of Big Brother, Winston feels he has at least ended his "stubborn, self-willed exile" from the love of Big Brother

So do you believe the official narratives? That Russia is at some perpetual war with USA and that shifting alliances are real and that the wars are real?

Why do you think police get militarized and there is so much research into controlling peoples minds but so little curing common diseases?

Well of course those ppm of toxins that destroy your body are for your safety. Nevermind that these toxins could be removed to 0ppb in your food and water but are not.

It isn't even about profit. Why would it be? Who creates the money and prints the debt? Anyway. Here is some news about Oceania.

US military officials are loudly bragging about their latest initiative to reassure Europe, a program that was called, unlikely enough, the European Reeassurance Initiative (ERI), and which to this point has involved moving a lot of sand around, and building some roads in rural parts of several Baltic states.

ERI is nominally the latest in a long line of programs the Obama Administration has announced to “combat Russian aggression,” and which are meant to build up nations along the Russian frontier to support massive US military deployments to spite Russia.

The plans are often ill-conceived, as the US idea to deploy huge amounts of tanks into several of these countries ran into problems because the tanks are stored in swampy areas where the mud makes it virtually impossible to drive a tank, and NATO has taken to having to “ship” those tanks back and forth to their various anti-Russia photo ops.

In this regard, ERI is trying to be the solution for the military-created problem, hauling thousands of tonnes of sand into those swampy areas to build “tank trails” that they can drive the tanks through, along with roads to support the infrastructure for the NATO operations in the area.

The army sees it as a win-win, as the pricey construction involves the use of contractors, and is subsequently popular with the host countries, and also lets the army deploy people to not-war-zones, which is “good for morale.”

That the whole program is make-work to “reassure” European nations about the US commitment to take part in some unlikely, disastrous future war with Russia is just gravy for them, as the Pentagon sees talk of a new Cold War as a great excuse to push for bigger budgets, and if they can’t physically position forces in the Baltic swamps for this scheme, they’ll build up the swamps so they can.

Closing of EURO TUNNEL and Calais Crisis

Calais crisis far from over as thousands of immigrants head for the UK

The Channel Tunnel will be closed at night if the Calais crisis worsens under plans being considered by ministers - as it emerged that an African migrant walked almost its entire length.

Ministers have sought legal advice on what was described by Whitehall sources as the “nuclear option” of closing the tunnel to freight and passenger trains overnight.

The proposal, which has been discussed at meetings of the government’s emergency Cobra committee, follows concerns that the number of services at night is increasing the risk of migrants making it through the tunnel.

It comes as a Sudanese man was arrested by British police on Tuesday just steps away from the mouth of Eurotunnel in Folkestone, Kent, after dodging trains travelling at 100mph.

https://archive.is/ar518

Haven't heard of the Calais crisis?

Don't worry the media tries to spam other non-stories to keep it out of the spotlight. You probably don't know as an American what the Calais Crisis is.

Thousands of migrants who are camped in Calais are attempting to reach the UK by crossing the Channel.

Some try to stow away on lorries bound for cross-Channel ferries. During recent strikes by French ferry workers, which closed the Channel Tunnel, migrants openly tried to board lorries stuck in traffic on the roads leading to the port. There have also been some reports of migrants attempting to stow away in people's cars.

Most recently, activity has shifted more to the Channel Tunnel. Migrants attempt to stow away on lorries headed for the Eurotunnel, or jump or cut security fences to try to hide on Eurotunnel trains themselves.

Eurotunnel has described "nightly incursions", with groups of up to hundreds of migrants attempting to breach security at once.

How long has this been going on?

While the number of migrants is currently at a high, the issue is far from new. In 1999, the controversial Sangatte refugee camp was opened in Calais, attracting thousands of would-be asylum seekers and people traffickers.

Its closure in 2001 and 2002 - on the orders of France's then minister of the interior, Nicolas Sarkozy - led to riots. Since then migrants have continued to arrive in Calais and build makeshift camps near the port. French authorities estimate there are about 3,000 people currently living in the camps known as "the Jungle", although other estimates put the higher.

The issue made headlines again in September last year after a ferry bound for the UK was stormed by about 235 iIlegal migrants.

The Home Office said Border Force and the French authorities together prevented more than 39,000 attempts to cross the Channel illegally in 2014/15 - more than double the number prevented the previous year, while Eurotunnel, which operates the Channel Tunnel says it has blocked 37,000 attempts since January.

https://archive.is/gvmgL

And this leads to:

Mandatry ID cards (soon)

Identity cards are now "essential" in the wake of the Calais migrant crisis, campaigners have claimed.

The report said: "In the longer-term we must return to the introduction of ID cards.

"The French are right to point out that the absence of ID cards in the UK makes it far too easy for migrants to stay on illegally and find work in Britain."

"There are no ID cards. They can easily find work outside the formal economy, which is not really controlled."

ID cards were first mooted by the Labour government in 2003. However, the project was scrapped by the coalition in 2010.

Virus Infects Human Brains & Makes People More Stupid

http://www.pnas.org/content/111/45/16106.abstract

http://anonhq.com/beware-virus-infects-human-brains-makes-people-stupid/

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/virus-that-makes-humans-more-stupid-discovered-9849920.html

>Scientists at Johns Hopkins Medical School and the University of Nebraska, have found an algae virus called Chlorovirus ATCV-1 that can affect cognitive function, including visual processing and spatial awareness in humans and make us more stupid. The ATCV-1 virus infects the green algae found in freshwater ponds and lakes.

>The researchers were conducting a separate study, but found the DNA of ATCV-1 virus in the human throat. The scientists then conducted a test of 90 healthy individuals and found the virus in 40 people. When they conducted tests designed to measure the brain’s accuracy and speed in visual processing, as well as tests measuring attention span, the participants that tested positive for ATCV-1 achieved an average of 7-9 points lower than the participants who did not have the virus in their throats.

>This is a striking example showing that the ‘innocuous’ micro-organisms we carry can affect behaviour and cognition. Many physiological differences between person A and person B are encoded in the set of genes each inherits from parents, yet some of these differences are fuelled by the various micro-organisms we harbour and the way they interact with our genes, said lead investigator Dr Robert Yolken, a virologist and pediatric infectious disease specialist at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and director of the Stanley Neurovirology Laboratory at Johns Hopkins.

India: Fighting Iodine Deficiency

>Grey for Good teamed up with Talwar, a prominent bindi distributor, and Neelvasant, an NGO doing extensive work in rural areas of the western Indian state of Maharashtra, five months ago.

>The group came up with a standard scarlet bindi with a twist: Each bindi’s adhesive came covered with 150-200 micrograms of iodine. Throughout the day,

>a woman wearing the iodine bindi absorbs on average 12% of their daily requirement of iodine, a marked improvement from before.

>>The Life Saving Dot uses the same technology and design as nicotine patches, and it’s cheap; production costs are minimal, Shabaz says, and are affordable

>at just two rupees per pack. (The rural Maharashtrian women Grey for Good worked with earned an average of 20-30 rupees per day.)

>Plus, wearing the iodine-infused bindi requires no behavioral change.

>The campaign hopes to spread awareness about iodine deficiency, a problem that even the most vulnerable populations don’t always know exists.

>Initial tests have been positive; of the approximately 150 women who have been given the bindis to wear,

>none have reported negative side effects and many have reported decreases in headaches, a common side effect of iodine deficiency.

>There are still some shortcomings. Since bindis are worn by the country’s dominant Hindu majority,

>rural women of other religions aren’t going to reap the benefits. And while women face the brunt of iodine deficiency—pregnancy and birth often exacerbate symptoms and effects, making women particularly susceptible to the consequences of iodine deficiency—

>men are affected by the lack of nutrient in their diets, too.

Nationalism and Its Effects on Peace in Europe

With gIobal crisis, unemployment, dissatisfaction, poverty and intolerance has increased and with it also nationalism. Political parties with nationalist platforms are rising and gaining more support around the world and Europe is no exception.

In Spain, Italy, and the United Kingdom and across Europe we can see the rise of the right. The financial crisis in the Eurozone and beyond has triggered rising of nationalists and far-right political parties.

The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) on 9th of July released a report about the dramatic increase in anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, online hate speech and xenophobic political discourse as the main trends in 2014.

Nationalism can be positive with legitimacy, promotion of nations and inspiration for citizens or negative by creating tensions between different ethnicity and groups in or outside the country. Some negative aspects of ideology or political movement can be seen in the latest football matches in the Balkans, where supporters of team groups have burned many national flags and hooliganism that is the result of long lasting hatred and nationalism on the ground. Every country has its own history and different positions, but still similarities could be found.

The country all news is regarding to in recent times is Greece. A known slogan “Greece for Greeks” is well known in its anti-austerity party. Attacks against minorities and immigrants with racism are seen in one of the European Union (EU) members. Golden Dawn neo-Nazi party is linked to hundreds of violent attacks against minorities.

It is known for anti-immigration, racist-nationalist worldview. With elections being held this year in January the party captured 6.3% of the vote and 17 senate seats in Hellenic parliament and become the country’s third largest party. In 2014 the party won 9.4% of votes in European parliamentary election and with it 3 seats out of 21.

The party has been put on a trial this year for its criminal activity.

Nationalism in Greece has divided citizens and noncitizens to us and them and created the gap between both. With the economic crisis, Greeks debt, overall economic meltdown, unemployment and increasing number of refugees from different countries, the party led by Nikos Michaloliakos has gained more support and caused even greater intolerance to foreign people in need. Unfortunately, they are not the only one spreading intolerance. Many politicians have a stance against immigrants, which shapes the Greeks’ attitude towards nationalism

Reality isn't really real

These guys have apparently proven that how you view something, will alter what has actually happened.

Let's say that you don't remember getting raped, because you were shitfaced drunk last night. This means that your rape is in a quantum state. Then suddenly you remember that you WERE raped, which causes the rape to have happened IN THE PAST.

Also it helps it you're a helium atom.

http://www.anu.edu.au/news/all-news/experiment-confirms-quantum-theory-weirdness

Now the question becomes: What happens if the method of measurement depends on the result? Let's say that you only make it go right if the result showed that it went left, and vice versa. What happens then?

Corporate lobbying expense jumps as U.S. TPP debate rages

http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/07/23/us-trade-tpp-lobbying-idUSKCN0PX2JO20150723

>Lobbying expenditures by members of a pro-TPP coalition increased to $135 million in the second quarter of 2015, up from $126 million in the first quarter and $118 million in the fourth quarter of 2014, according to Senate Office of Public Records reports reviewed by Reuters.

>The spending surge occurred among members of the U.S. Business Coalition for TPP, a group that hopes a final TPP deal can be completed by the end of 2015.

>Another big spender was Business Roundtable, an association of U.S. company chief executive officers. Spokeswoman Amanda DeBard said lobbying on fast-track was a "significant part" of the company's overall expenditures during the second quarter.

>The overall lobbying expenditure rise coincided with a congressional battle over legislation to give Obama "fast-track" power to negotiate trade deals and speed them through Congress, as well as whether to shut down the U.S. Export-Import Bank.

Don't like a website? Troll their comments!

It doesn’t take years of Internet-ing to learn the web’s cardinal rule of commenting, that reading the comments on even the most innocuous listicle can quickly turn into a sin. Beneath an article or on a product page lies the Internet’s dirtiest laundry: Spiteful trolls and playful sarcastics bookend meaningful quips and old people using Internet Explorer who don’t quite know where they’ve landed.

Yesterday, the plot thickened, this time in favor of more limited online speech: The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that Delfi, an Estonian news site, “may be held responsible for anonymous and allegedly defamatory comments from its readers,” as Ars Technica UK reported last night.

According to ECHR’s ruling, Delfi alleged that it was being unduly “held liable” for comments posted on its site. In the court’s review of the comment procedure, Delfi, as one of the leadings news sources in Estonia, posted over 300 articles a day that received nearly 10,000 daily comments. These comments could be flagged and reported, but were largely unregulated by the news site’s staff. The government alleged that Delfi had a “notorious history of publishing defamatory and degrading comments,” and called it a source of “brutal and arrogant mockery.”

Most of the suit centers on the vitriol directed towards L, an anonymous member of a public ferry transport service’s supervisory board in the news after a 2006 debate about ice roads (patches of frozen sea that the ferry service traverses). The most foul twenty comments in question? They range from “Rascal!!” to “go and drown yourself”, so basically something along the lines of Sunday night Twitter after a particularly brutal episode of Game of Thrones (in that case, you know nothing, ECHR).

What this means for online freedom of speech remains to be seen. Though this foreign court obviously isn’t bound to our same constitutional freedoms (and is largely toothless, it seems, in enforcing these rulings, according to Ars Technica), this does open a unique debate about privacy and the nature of commenting. In the decision, the European court acknowledged the changing nature of news, where editorial processes involve (and often invite) user feedback and debate, and Delfi held that its practices did enough to monitor comments that didn’t meet its standards.

Even without the cloak of anonymity, whether you’re your worst or best self on the Internet, the comment section is where people are their freest, to troll, to engage or to post their thoughts on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in all caps. The line between moderation and censorship has always been contention, but this new European decision grays the responsibility between a comment’s author and its website host.

George Zimmerman attends Lake Mary gun show

With a smile on his face, George Zimmerman spent Saturday afternoon posing for photos, sharing hugs and shaking hands with gun enthusiasts at a firearms expo in Lake Mary.

"It's so odd to me," said Zimmerman, about the celebrity treatment he receives in public. "[But] it is appreciated."

Tumblr features pregnant pro-choice advocates

The blog was by a Washington Post profile detailing the disbelieving comments one abortion-rights advocate received on entering a Congressional hearing when she was 36 weeks pregnant. (One anti-abortion advocate reportedly asked, "Is that real?").

The blog offers stories from mothers and pregnant women - some who work in abortion clinics, others who are mothers but had an abortion at some point in their lives, and others who simply identify with the pro-choice movement.

Jodi Jacobson, who is editor-in-chief of the reproductive-rights blog RH Reality Check, said she started Pregnant, Parenting and Pro-Choice as a "visual representation" of abortion statistics in the US.

Pointing to a study stating that 61% of women who choose an abortion are already mothers, Jacobson said she wanted to illustrate that women who are pro-choice are not, by default, anti-pregnancy or motherhood.

The experience of one abortion provider who worked through her pregnancy received 34,000 notes.

"When I was pregnant, patients often asked me if it was hard/weird do their abortion," Pratima Gupta wrote.

French Mayor who spoke out against Islam forced into Psychiatric Hospital

Robert Chardon, mayor of the French town of Venelles has been sent to a psychiatric hospital after voicing a negative opinion of Islam.

Chardon earned media fame after voicing his views on twitter, in a tweet which read “ban the muslim faith in France”. He later added with confidence that Islam will be banned in just over a decade. His words were sadly defiled, after he was hurriedly silenced and he was sent to a psychiatric ward for what was called “an account of incoherent statements”.

Virtually everyone in France is in a flurry of panic, trying to dissociate from him and his views. His party, his close colleagues, the people of Venelles, and also Nicolas Sarkozy, the former French president.

The French UMP party, of which Chadon was a part, is now seeking to remove Chardon from the party, over his “absurd statements, which do not correspond one bit with the values of the UMP”

Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy also voiced his condemnation of Chardon’s opinions on twitter, adding that “rights and limits, they go together”.

Patricia Saez, who filled in for Chardon during a sick leave in December 2014, was also more than eager to throw in her own statements about Chardon, as she said that “The views of [the Venelles city council] do not correspond at all with those of Robert Chardon, which up until now, have proved an attachment without fail to the principles and values of the republic in exercising his tenure.”

Despite being alienated by his colleagues, his party, his constituents, even his family, Chardon does not, however, back down. He claims over twitter that “Yes, I am the author” of his remarks. He refuses to back down from his views, insisting that “he who practises [islam] must immediately be escorted out of the borders”, and proclaims that “the [French] Republic is to favour the practise of Christianity”.

It is astonishing how the French Republic protects the freedom of speech for all groups except that of the native French people. Ironically, the prohibition of opinions which disagree with those of the government was something practised by the Soviet Union, which was known for locking up those disagreed with the state’s agenda, labelling all such individuals as ‘mentally ill’.

Robert Chardon is a brave man. He chooses to voice his views, however unpopular, however radical, even when he is made a political prisoner over them, even when he is alienated by his entire republic and his countrymen. In the future, maybe a decade or two from now, Mr. Chardon will be labeled a hero for his words.

>The slur "Cisgender" has been added to the Oxford dictionary.

The term was made up only in the last few years when a feminist didn't understand the English language and took the term "cis" in relation to an opposing reaction to "trans" in chemistry and thought it meant the same thing (this usage doesn't even make sense if you used it the same way in chemistry) for humans because the opposite had the word "trans" in it.

Yes, Oxford-freakin-Dictionary has just put the word "Cisgender" into what will be taught to children because some dumbass feminist in the 90's didn't realize that the word "trans" in chemistry isn't a reference or even remotely the same thing as "trans" in relation to humans.

The ‘racism talk’: How black middle-class parents are warning their children

One in three people in Britain describe themselves as being very or a little racially prejudiced, according to a recent British Social Attitudes Survey. How are middle-class black families coping with this rise in prejudiced attitudes and preparing their children for a society marred by such discrimination?

We carried out research with professional families of black Caribbean heritage across England and explored how they navigate their children successfully through school.

Our findings, based on 77 interviews, reveal that parents are engaged, involved and concerned about their children’s education success. But they often have to manage the lower expectations of success held by the school and work out how best to prepare their child for a society marked by racism. Parents were particularly concerned about how to ready and protect their children from racist stereotyping – and how and when to talk to them about the dangers of racism.
The apparent threat of black boys

While there are areas of overlap, different stereotypes are seen to exist for boys and girls. The parents we interviewed remained alert to societal stereotypes that seek to position black boys as troublesome, a danger or less smart. Richard, a director within the voluntary sector and the father of two primary school aged boys, worried about how to both prepare and protect his sons from racist encounters. Laughing sadly at the absurdity of the situation, he commented: “You can’t go around everywhere they go, when they go for a job interview, you can’t go ‘My son’s coming in, please don’t stereotype him.’”

70 year old run gang-raped in India

https://news.yahoo.com/india-police-robbers-gang-rape-nun-her-70s-115302066.html

>A nun in her 70s was gang-raped by a group of bandits Saturday when she tried to prevent them from robbing a Christian missionary school in eastern India, police said, the latest crime to focus attention on the scourge of sexual violence in the country.

>The nun was hospitalized in serious condition after being attacked by seven or eight men at the Convent of Jesus and Mary School in Nadia district, 80 kilometers (50 miles) northeast of the West Bengal state capital of Kolkata, a police officer said.

>The men escaped and police are searching for them, said the officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to reporters.

>The robbers tied the school's security guards with ropes early Saturday and entered the nuns' room, where the women were sleeping. They took one of the nuns to another room when she tried to block their way and then raped her, the officer said.

Goldman Sachs and the Fed #BTFO
http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2014-09-26/the-secret-goldman-sachs-tapes
>Jake Bernstein, has obtained 46 hours of tape recordings, made secretly by a Federal Reserve employee, of conversations within the Fed, and between the Fed and Goldman Sachs.
>In early 2012, Segarra was assigned to regulate Goldman Sachs, and so was installed inside Goldman. (The people who regulate banks for the Fed are physically stationed inside the banks.)
> In meetings, Fed employees would defer to the Goldman people; if one of the Goldman people said something revealing or even alarming, the other Fed employees in the meeting would either ignore or downplay it.
>in one meeting a Goldman employee expressed the view that "once clients are wealthy enough certain consumer laws don't apply to them."

There is much more to this, but I'm not going to paste the whole article. Pic related is based Carmen Segarra, the one who risked it all to expose this corruption.

As bombs start dropping in Syria and Iraq, the world is once again being asked to cower in fear of a shadowy terror group that most people hadn't heard of just a few months ago. But even the most cursory examination of ISIS's past, its connections, and the actors populating it reveal a very different story than the one we are being asked to believe in. Fake terrorists. Foreign backers. False flags. Meet the new boogeyman, same as the old boogeyman.
