The tl;dnr version:
Monsato is being sued for false advertising because the enzyme that Roundup targets, epsp synthase, is also found in humans, which is in direct contradiction to the label on the packaging.
“GLYPHOSATE TARGETS AN ENZYME FOUND IN PLANTS
BUT NOT IN PEOPLE OR PETS.”
The bacteria that produce the enzyme exists in our stomachs and intestines. The suite goes on to allege that since Roundup kills bacteria and microflora outside the body that contains epsp synthase, it can have the same effect to the bacteria inside humans and animals.

Denmark has listed it as a carcinogen since the lawsuit was initially filed.
“We know that glyphosate causes cancer in other mammals, but it has not been demonstrated in humans. That is because the effects are not investigated thoroughly enough in people yet. But when we see that other mammals get cancer from glyphosate, we must assume that people who are exposed to the substance can also develop cancer,” Grandjean says.
