From the sticky, GETS are a part of *chan culture whether you like it or not. Now I wholly agree we need to archive more important shit much like you said. We are the Eastern Empire after the collapse of the Western one, now the question is are we going to learn from the mistakes of the past in which have been archived or will we end up falling the same manner they did?
The whole thing between /sp/ and /int/ only got so big because /sp/ managed to steal a bunch of major GETS in a very short amount of time and somehow destroyed /int/ by doing it. If /int/ hadn't sperged out it wouldn't have gotten as big as it did and that is why I wrote up on it, it was a major happening between boards.
