A Canadian started tossing around accusations on /int/ that Lowcard, the board
owner of /int/ and global volunteer, uses his power to save CP before deleting
it, as well as protecting pedophiles on other boards. Naturally this was met
with disdain from both anon and the vols of /int/. Eventually another Canadian
replied with "Fuck off Québec, you're giving Canada a bad name." This caused
OP to sperg out and assume that Lowcard had looked at his IP (despite the fact
that Lowcard is German).
OP then proceeded to /meta/ and stated that Lowcard had tried to dox him, in
a thread he had made after the /int/ one. More derision, more lulz. Around
this time, Lowcard announced he would be accepting email applications for
control of /int/ (thread now deleted). In total he recieved 12 applications
which he then pastebinned and made into a strawpoll. As of this writing
the rankings stand thusly:
1. Quebec Rulefag - 41%, 228 votes
2. Nazi Mod - 28%, 155 votes
3. Kawaii Portugal - 09%, 048 votes
There is some concern over the election given that strawpolls are trivial to rig.
Quebec openly appealed for /sp/ to vote in the election , promising them amnesty
for their get stealing and free reign on /int/. A Swede, posting in the election thread,
suggested that he would rig the election for Nazi Mod.
The election ends at 3:30 GMT on February 14, or in approximately 16 hours, but
it remains to be seen whether, given the aforementioned obvious ballot-stuffing and
the dubious motivations of Quebec, the results will be upheld. It is possible that
the ownership will be handed to Kawaii Portugal, or that Lowcard will declare the
election completely invlid. Quebec, however, has begun treating his election as a
fait accompli, accepting volunteer applications by email.
There appears to be strong support for Kawaii Portugal, despite his third-place spot.
Hotwheels, also a candidate in the election, requested that all votes for him be counted
as toward Kawaii Portugal in light of the rigging. He has also made a formal appeal
that Nazi Mod declare his votes for Portugal, reflecting the fact that Nazi Mod himself
is not the one doing the rigging. Nazi Mod appears to have declined.
All of this couldn't come at a worse time for /int/, struggling as they are with
upping their production of dank memes, as well as the ongoing war with /sp/. Just
today, /sp/artans grabbed both the 99999 and 100000 GETs and were instantly banned
for doing so.
