I don't post on /pol/ anymore because it's not as interesting as it was in the past. There are people who want a /pol/ with a looser moderation and those who want /pol/ with a stricter moderation. the great thing about 8chan is that both parties can feel satisfied. I see that /polpol/ has already taken off into a respectable board these last few weeks.
I don't think that "splitting the community" is a bad thing, since almost all of 8chan is crossboarders. I think these things can be fixed through additional features like multi board catalogs similar to reddits custom frontpages.
>>321the insane /pol/ volunteer from the irc chat log was removed in december. I think doorways (owner) has become more involved since january, which is helping the board. I think some of the volunteers in /pol/ are trying their best but don't have the power or capability to change anything important like the rules.
