>Josh is not global staff
Irrelevant. He's one of the most influential people on the site and one of this bug's primary victims. He's being forced to deliver under-done software because the other guys as of yet have no intention of dealing with this egregious site-wide problem in a practical and pragmatic way.
>doesn't solve anything in the long term
Wow I didn't know that, what a revelation!
I made sure to emphasize the transition to infinity for a reason, you know, and that reason isn't because I think we should be using Tinyboard for the rest of our natural lives.
The proposed 2+ remaining weeks of bugs, as well as forcing Josh to release Infinity Under-cooked could have a disastrous effect on user retention, especially when the plurality of these users likely don't even know what's going on or when it's going to be fixed. It's foolish to assume every user goes to /operate/ or that every Board Owner understands the importance of keeping their users informed about this issue. Many of the Board Owners I spoke to in my futile cross-board appeal to trim page numbers mention their post rates and unique contributors dropping like a stone already just days into this debacle and again, unless something is done we have over two weeks of this nonsense left.
The /sp/ picture was taken well before they began to migrate to the .pl address as well in case you were wondering
>>>/operate/43328 11/12/15
>>>/sp/253851 11/13/15
It's not like I think 8chan is going to be completely abandoned because of this and many users may return when the infinity beta is forced onto the site, but what I am saying is that the ends WELL justify the means when I say...
