so is the period from the failed update to the real one basically just the era of the shitpost? everything we post, all the new threads will get wiped to how it was when the fake update started happening, so why contribute? Also if they aren't going to run the import again then we can assume that it will not take long before we are using infinity next. If we were looking at losing weeks to months of data they would just run the import again since it takes about a day.

I don't see why what he wants matters to what I said. They originally wanted Dec. 1st. But they're running into problems. And so the date has been pushed. This is likely to keep on happening. In an ideal world we'd already be on that software.

They should just keep the old 8chan as a backup, since it's already backed up, and put the Next live without posts like live beta, so they could deal with performance issues gradually and with no more information loss.

Sure am glad I posted 250 pics today before reading that the migration failed and everything posted between the first attempt and the actual migration date (at some point in the future) wont be imported to the new site and therefore is a waste of time.
