Can you give BOs the ability to block proxies and VPNs? Like we can compile our own list of proxies from various sites, put them through a system you devised to prevent them from posting on a board.

I'm sick of having to deal with the same spam and CP 3-4 times a day every day. It's not easy having a 24 hour volunteer protection squad either and if you do have a lot of volunteers then chances are there's going to be a lot more meddling and arguing between them about how a board should be run which leads to board drama.

Sorry I'm /tech/ illiterate so I don't know if this is feasible or not. and if it is I'd like to know why you wouldn't implement it sometime in the future.

Global Volunteers simply don't give a shit to deal with illegal content if the local board volunteers aren't around 24/7.

The globals aren't much a safety net for when the local vols fall asleep or they're off doing their own thing.

If there are public proxies such as Tor, their IPs should be publicly available, so they can be blocked. If I'm not mistaken, the current board software hashes CP images and prevents them from being uploaded in the future. But unfortunately changing even a pixel can get around that. In the BO panel, you can block Tor users from posting images. That's a big deal. You can still let them post text.

Otherwise, I can only recommend more comprehensive moderation. Get some volunteers for each timezone and make sure to pay attention to the report feature.

It's also possible to block by ISP or geographical range. But you have to get the site owners to do that.
