That's factually incorrect. The last administration was very heavily involved in the war on drugs. All the mandatory sentencing and making first time offenders with miniscule amounts of weed on them go to narcotics anonymous, this is still going on in some places. Used to be that mandatory sentencing could go as far as a lifetime sentencing for a first time offense of trafficking.
