2ad27b No.2059

Because my autism compels me to, and I might as well have this for future reference anyway. Items are listed from best to worst. PvP rank items are excluded, as are items not yet in the game, items with random enchants, and items that require professions.

>Head

Mask of the Unforgiven (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13404): +Hit AND crit is a big deal. Strat live isn't exactly the most run dungeon, though.

Eye of Rend (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12587): More crit and some strength, but less hit and stam.

Ragefury Eyepatch (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11735): Easier to get than Eye of Rend, and almost as good (you'll only lose a few AP).

Tattered Leather Hood (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18698): The only other preraid leather helm with +hit. BoE, so if you can find it in the AH for cheap, grab it.

Ebon Mask (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19984): +Crit, +AP. The rogue quest has arguably better rewards, though. Best off skipping.

Shadowcraft Cap (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16707): Set bonuses kinda suck, but the stats on this helm make up for it. Easily the best helm without hit or crit.

Felhide Cap (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18325): Resist may make it a bit more useful in MC/BWL. Otherwise a slight downgrade from Shadowcraft. Doesn't help that the boss is skipped in jump runs.

Ghostshroud (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11925): Very close to Felhide and Shadowcraft statwise, and quite easy to get. Expect to fight with druids on this item, though.

Wicked Leather Headband (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15086): A fair step down from the other helms, but incredibly easy to acquire, since most LWers end up crafting this for skill level anyway. Expect to see it in the AH for 2g or less.

>Neck

Mark of Fordring (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15411): +The only preraid neckpiece in the game with +Crit. Get it, dummy.

Evil Eye Pendant (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18381): Only take if your tank doesn't want it. The agi is nice, the def makes you a good meme.

Woven Ivy Necklace (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19159): This is why you should do the Hinterlands elite quests. Will carry you well into 60.

>Shoulders

Truestrike Shoulders (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12927): +2% hit puts this leagues above any other piece.

Wyrmtongue Shoulders (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13358): Drops from Balnazzar apparently. Agi + Stam combo the best out of any preraid shoulder piece.

Shadowcraft Shoulders (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16708): Incidentally also drops from Strat Live. Very close to Wyrmtongue.

Spaulders of the Unseen (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13116): Same DPS as Shadowcraft, but with less stam. Also BoE, so AH is doable.

Stormshroud Spaulders (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15058): Buyable on AH. Not too expensive to craft either.

Dark Warder's Pauldrons (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=22241): Good luck finding a BRD group going into this section of the instance.

Duskwing Mantle (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16995): Fairly easy item to get, stats are pretty good too.

Phytoskin Spaulders (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=17749): Probably the cutoff. Better defensively than Duskwing, but worse offensively.

To be continued

>Back

Cape of the Black Baron (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13340): +Agi and +AP make this an obvious choice.

Shifting Cloak (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18511): Super expensive and overall inferior to the above cape. But if you have that much money to throw out…

Shadow Prowler's Cloak (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=22269): Like Shifting Cloak, but without the dodge bonus. Also much easier to get.

Blisterbane Wrap (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12552): BoE. If you can find one cheap, might as well get it.

Duskbat Drape (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19982): Novelty equip bonus makes this probably the best of the rogue quest rewards. Not many preraid replacements, so expect to have it for a while.

Deep River Cloak (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15789): Easy quest for reward that can easily carry you to 60. Make sure Un'goro is a leveling stop.

>Chest

Primal Batskin Jerkin (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19685): Mats require raiding, but it's BoE, so it still counts. Lurk the AH for this one.

Cadaverous Armor (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14637): No hit bonus, but stats are good enough to make up for it.

Stormshroud Armor (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15056): +2% crit is nice, and the mats aren't terrible.

Shadowcraft Armor (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16721): Thus begins the long line of steadily worsening stats on items.

Fungus Shroud Armor (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=17742): Sadly, drops from a rare spawn in a seldom-run part of a dungeon. Can easily carry you to 60 if you manage to get it, though.

Wicked Leather Armor (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15085): Mats are slightly obscene for a green item, but it's one of the better ones. Might actually be better off with Stormshroud Armor here.

Traphook Jerkin (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15825): Fairly easy-to-get quest reward.

Blazewind Breastplate (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11193): Easier-to-get quest reward. Anything below this is probably pointless.

>Wrist

Primal Batskin Bracers (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19687): Agi + Hit makes this a solid piece.

Bracers of the Eclipse (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18375): Even without hit, the Agi + AP combo is solid.

Blackmist Armguards (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12966): +Hit, but that's about all it has going for it.

Shadowcraft Bracers (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16710): BoE, so finding one on the AH for cheap may be a good investment.

Traveler's Bracers (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=8295): The poor man's Shadowcraft Bracers.

Wicked Leather Bracers (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15084): The even poorer man's Shadowcraft Bracers. If your bracers are any worse than this, at least invest in these, they should be dirt cheap.

2ad27b No.2061

>Hands

Devilsaur Gauntlets (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15063): With the set bonus, this is easily preraid BiS. Without it, it's still good, but between Stormshroud Gloves and Gargoyle Slashers. Devilsaurs are farmed to hell and back, though, so these will put you out a few hundred gold. Might as well get your epic mount first.

Primal Batskin Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19686): Agi + 2% hit is great. End of.

Stormshroud Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=21278): Hit and Crit. Nice combo, mats aren't horrible either.

Gargoyle Slashers (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13957): The best not-crafted preraid gloves. Kirtonos is pretty commonly farmed too. Consider joining such a group.

Shadow Panther Hide Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=20259): Not sure if these are even in yet. If they are, it's another BoE piece worth considering for the right price.

Cadaverous Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14640): Best hands without +Hit or crit.

Skul's Fingerbone Claws (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13395): Skul is rare, so good luck with this one.

Blight Leather Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15708): This quest is bugged, so you'll need help with it.

Nightfall Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15708): Easy dungeon quest, provided you can find a group that goes to this part of BRD.

Pridelord Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14675): BoE. Buy on the cheap if you can find it.

Wicked Leather Gloves (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15083): Like a number of wicked leather pieces, this is very cheap due to ease of crafting. Stats are pretty nice too.

>Waist

Mugger's Belt (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18505): BiS if you're running daggers. Arguably below Wicked Leather otherwise.

Shadow Panther Hide Belt (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=20261): May or may not actually exist. Not a huge upgrade from the next best anyway. Buy it if you find it cheap.

Cloudrunner Girdle (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13252): Agi + Str is, sadly, about the best you'll find in waists.

Serpentine Sash (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13118): Slightly less DPS than Cloudrunner, and more survivability. Also BoE, so possibly findable for cheap.

Shadowcraft Belt (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16713): More common than Serpentine, so this is probably your best bet if you just hit 60.

Sagebrush Girdle (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=17778): Fairly low-level quest. Prolly soloable at 60.

Wicked Leather Belt (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15088): Easy to craft, cheap as a result.

2ad27b No.2062

>Legs

Devilsaur Leggings (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15062): It's all about the set bonus. Without it, it's about on par with Stormshroud Pants. Expect to be displaced a few hundred gold for this.

Plaguehound Leggings (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18736): Strat BoE. If you can find one for the right price, go for it.

Blademaster Leggings (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12963): +Agi, hit, and crit in the same legs. Not too hard to get either.

Stormshroud Pants (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15057): Like the other Stormshroud pieces, has pretty good secondary stats, on top of non-terrible mats.

Shadowcraft Pants (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16709): You might be able to get this while farming for the Baron Cloak. It's one of the better leg pieces.

Pridelord Pants (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14677): BoE green, pretty good if you can find it cheap.

Cadaverous Leggings (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14638): Might pop up if you're trying for the other pieces. Fairly solid for the raw AP bonus.

Basilisk Hide Pants (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=1718): Probably not worth it, since you'll be competing with 39 twinks.

Wicked Leather Pants (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15087): 1 cured rugged hide makes this not dirt cheap, but still probably your best fresh 60 option.

>Feet

Mongoose Boots (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18506): Surprisingly, the mats aren't horrible for this. A day of farming at most should do the trick (and a few gold for the hides).

Swiftwalker Boots (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12553): Thankfully, most groups opt to kill the princess And you'll be trying for this along with HoJ.

Shadowcraft Boots (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16711): Almost as good as Swiftwalker.

Pads of the Dread Wolf (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13210): About on par with the above two items.

Albino Crocscale Boots (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=17728): A small drop from the previous few items, and much easier to get.

Swiftfoot Treads (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15861): Yep, a raid quest rewards greens. Welcome to vanilla. At least it's a pretty good green.

Whisperwalk Boots (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=20255): Fairly good stats, but cloak from the quest is debateably better.

Sandstalker Ankleguards (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12470): Very nice for the level, can carry you to 60. Too bad the mob that drops it is a rare spawn.

Boots of Ferocity (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=22472): If it drops and you have nothing better, might as well. Druids get priority, though.

Traveler's Boots (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=8294): BoE. Pick it up for cheap if possible.

Cadaverous Walkers (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14641): Probably one of the worst of the set. Gives up DPS for stamina.

Nightscape Boots (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=8197): +Stealth is a nice novelty. Agi isn't the worst. Super easy to craft.

2ad27b No.2063

>Rings

Tarnished Elven Ring (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18500): Agi and hit, can't go wrong. Also not unique, so you can get 2.

Blackstone Ring (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=17713): Almost as good as the above, but much easier to get. Unfortunately also unique.

Painweaver Band (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13098): Pretty good ring if neither of the above two drop.

Naglering (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11669): Despite what the site says, it gives +1% hit on Nost, making it pretty good for you. Tanks get priority, however.

Band of the Pentinent (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13217): 1% crit, why not?

Innervating Band (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18701): Pretty okay ring, BoE. If it's cheap, get it.

Magma Forged Band (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=20721): Drops from the secret safe in BRD. If you have a group with the keys, it's worth a shot.

Myrmidon's Signet (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=2246): Epic BoE. Not that great despite being epic. Probably will be overpriced for what it does.

Masons Fraternity Ring (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=9533): Chances are you'll end up running ZF anyway, and this ring will likely carry you to 60.

White Bone Band (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11862): Very easy quest, pick this up ASAP if your rings aren't already better.

Mark of Kern (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=2262): Lowbie BoE, will probably be overpriced as a result. But Mark Kern is a BAMF, so it may be worth having just for novelty value.

Band of Vigor (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18302): Drops from same boss as Felhide Cap, and at a much better rate. Worth looking at.

>Trinkets

Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19289): Insane proc, but super expensive. Whether or not it's worth it is up to you.

Hand of Justice (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11815): Possibly the most coveted item in BRD. Great proc with some extra AP on the side. If you can find a group that doesn't have it on reserve, JOIN IT.

Blackhand's Breadth (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13965): +2% crit. Solid choice.

Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18465): Arguably better than HoJ or BB if you're not already hit capped.

Rune of the Guard Captain (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19120): A very easy trinket to acquire, may be your first (aside form the PvP trinket)

Ramstein's Lightning Bolts (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13515): Situational. If a fight needs AoE, this might be worth keeping around.

Chained Essence of Eranikus (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=10455): Also situational. The Poor Man's RLS. Actually better if everything lives for more than 20 seconds (it shouldn't).

>Weapons

>Swords (MH)

Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12940): Fairly good on its own, amazing paired with the Tribal Guardian due to the set bonus. Pretty much preraid BiS at that point.

Teebu's Blazing Longsword (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=1728): Good weapon damage, proc is useless in MC and BWL. Possibly the priciest BoE in the game.

Krol Blade (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=2244): Slow weapon speed + Crit makes this a solid choice. Generally runs for a lot, though.

Thrash Blade (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=17705): Good speed, amazing proc. Get it ASAP, and it should carry you to 60.

Sword of Zeal (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=6622): More of a tank sword than anything else, but proc isn't the worst thing ever, and it has a good MH speed.

Fiendish Machete (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18310): Much better against elementals, but not terrible otherwise.

Dark Iron Reaver (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=17015): Another pricey BoE. Probably best to avoid.

Cho'Rush's Blade (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18484): AP boost is nice. Weapon speed not ideal. Good luck finding a non-tribute DM run.

Skullforge Reaver (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13361): Another sword that's better for tanks. Proc isn't terribly great either. But weapon damage is okay.

Lord General's Sword (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11817): If you don't have a Thrash Blade for some reason, this is an acceptable alternative.

>Swords (OH)

Dal'Rend's Tribal Guardian (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12939): Okay by itself, amazing when paired with the Sacred Charge due to the set bonus. Easily OH preraid BiS at that point.

Blackguard (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19168) : Weapon damage is pretty solid. Rather expensive BoE, though.

Mirah's Song (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15806): Weapon speed makes it ideal as an OH. Stats are pretty good too.

Cho'Rush's Blade (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18484): AP boost is nice. Weapon speed not ideal. Good luck finding a non-tribute DM run.

Ogre Pocket Knife (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18463): Stats are okay. But a green is a green.

Hameya's Sliver (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15814): Fairly decent 60 OH, but proc sucks in a raid environment. And in general, really.

Intrepid Shortsword (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=15800): Easily obtainable pre-60. Is a serviceable OH weapon.

>Daggers (MH)

Felstriker (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12590): Proc is obscenely good. But this is a very rare dagger, best of luck getting it.

Heartseeker (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12783): +Crit is good. Real good. Mats may be a bit difficult to acquire, though.

The Shadowfoot Stabber (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=24222): BoEs are always okay if you can find em at a decent price.

Scarlet Kris (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=5267): Not great speed, but the stats make it a fairly good choice.

Black Amnesty (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19166): Not worth the cost of crafting, even if it's a top-5 preraid MH dagger.

Keris of Zul'Serak (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12582): Proc is kinda garbage, but it still has respectable weapon damage and speed.

Barman Shanker (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12791): Another bad proc, but has a very good MH weapon speed.

Widowmaker (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=4091): A lower-level BoE with great stats. Will probably pricey due to competition from 49 bracket rogues.

>Daggers (OH)

Distracting Dagger (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18392): Great speed, +daggers is a very nice rarity. As close to an ideal OH as you're getting.

Bonescraper (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13368): Good speed, good stats. Good all around, really. You may get it while going for cape.

Felstriker (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12590): Even with the slower speed, the proc is good enough for it to still be a viable OH.

Alcor's Sunrazor (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14555): Great speed, shit proc in MC.

Scarlet Kris (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=5267): Also a good OH choice due to its speed and stats Probably below Finkle's Skinner on beast fights.

Finkle's Skinner (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12709): Great weapon speed, great on that rare beast fight, if you're a skinner, you'll want it anyway.

Shadowblade (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=2163): Fairly good proc, good weapon speed. But likely expensive, ESPECIALLY given its level.

Julie's Dagger (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=6660): A fairly pricey BoE, but has great speed and a pretty decent proc.

2ad27b No.2065

>Maces (MH)

Ironfoe (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11684): Not the best speed, but the proc makes it amazing.

Persuader (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=22384): Great crafted weapon, but super expensive due to Devilsaur Leather requirement.

Ebon Hand (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19170): A fairly solid crafted weapon. Speed could be better, but stats and proc are pretty good.

Mass of McGowan (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13006): Despite being more of a warrior mace, the speed makes it a solid rogue choice.

Bonechill Hammer (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=14487): Less-than-ideal speed, but passable proc.

Hurley's Tankard (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18044): Good stats, good speed. No further discussion needed.

Hammer of the Northern Wind (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=810): Bad speed, okay proc. But weapon damage makes it passable.

>Maces (OH)

Bashguuder (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13204): Proc is pretty shit, but weapon speed makes it one of the better OH maces.

The Cruel Hand of Timmy (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13401): Better proc than the Bashguuder, but still not great. No strength bonus makes it a bit weaker.

>Fist weapons

Willey's Back Scratcher (MH) (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=22404): Good speed, good stats. It's literally the only good pre-raid fist weapon MH in the game.

Lefty's Brass Knuckle (OH) (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=22317): Nice stats, nice speed. One of a few decent OH fist weapons.

Gargoyle Shredder Talons (OH) (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13399): Sucky proc, but good weapon damage on an okay speed.

Hurd Smasher (OH) (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13198): Suckier proc, but slightly better weapon damage than Talons. Very slightly.

Bloodfist (OH) (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11744): Acceptable proc, good speed, but lower weapon damage than Hurd Smasher or Shredder Talons.

>Ranged

Satyr's Bow (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18323): 3 agi and 1% hit make this the best preraid rogue ranged weapon. Period.

Blackcrow (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12651): Doesn't appear to have the extra 3 AGI on Nost, but the hit bonus remains. So it remains below Satyr's Bow for now.

Precisely Calibrated Boomstick (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=2100): The good news is that since it's so fast, it's not great for PvE hunters. The bad news is that it only requires level 43, meaning it will be VERY expensive.

Core Marksman Rifle (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18282): Gives extra hit, but that's about it. Save it for hunters.

Ancient Bone Bow (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18680): 11 agility on a ranged is very good. Although hunters would be fighting you for this weapon.

Riphook (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12653): 22 AP is respectable. And it also drops from Vosh'gajin.

Eaglehorn Long Bow (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13023): Nice stats, and the shit weapon speed means you won't be fighting against many hunters for it. Might be able to get it at a good price on the AH.

Bloodseeker (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19107): Being an AV reward makes this a pretty easy weapon to obtain. Should easily carry you to 60 if you grab it early.

Guttbuster (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13139): Another solid low-level BoE gun. Get it if it's cheap (It probably won't be).

Gryphonwing Long Bow (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13022): Fairly good stats, but will probably be more expensive than the superior Eaglehorn. If you can find one cheap, might as well grab it, though.

Swiftwind (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13038): 7 agi is nice, but will likely be a bit pricey due to its level.

Ogre Toothpick Shooter (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=18482): A good 6 agi on a DM tribute item. Not bad for a green.

Stinging Bow (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=10624): 14 AP makes this passable. But there's far better out there.
