Bought a new toy this weekend!
I wish it had a manual trans, but for $500, I can't complain.

ceb61b No.2312

Does it run?

Runs and drives, but it's running rich if I remember correctly. Drove it around a bit last summer. Needs a new battery now since it was sitting outside at a friend's place since then.

someone gave me a 97 eclipse gs-t spyder for free
>cut roof
>seized engine (crank bearings)
>dead racoon in floorboard
>salvage title
>no keys, needs both door and ignition locks

still havent decided whether i want to just sell the turbo and scrap the rest, or make it into a chumpcar/lemons

what i would like to do is pull a 4g64 block from another eclipse (saw several in a junkyard and use the 4G63 head, i know this requires blocking off coolant ports but not sure what the compression would be and if i need new pistons or rods

not a dsmfag, is there anything else i would need?

Who would install a dead raccoon in the floorboard? Everyone knows they're much more efficient in the hatch.

Cool. Can you find a junkyard trans to swap it?

It would be awesome if you could clean that up and make it look nice.

Not many nice DSMs out there anymore.

I'm sure I could if I looked enough, it's not high on my lost of things to do though.

>>2317
None from what I can see. Got to get it up on the lift to really look it over.

The body is in surprisingly great condition, just the little dent in the fender as seen in the pic. I might throw some new paint on it though. The previous owner had all these stupid decals all over and the sun faded the paint around them. Not super noticable, but annoying.

Hopefully sometime within the next few weeks I can start tearing into it and get it back running like it's supposed to.

Are you planning on painting the wheels silver and fixing the ride height?

Stock 2nd gens are dead sexy and disappointingly rare.
