Well as has been pointed out there are a lot of lurkers. But due to the lack of fresh material people leave and the issue just compounds. Less discussion = less people being interested and leavening = less discussion, repeat till dead. There's also the fact that I don't think many people left halfchan /o/ to begin with. So we were already at a disadvantage. Just discussion will help out.

The conundrum with getting more people here is that inviting people individually won't cut it, but there's no telling what kind of people we would get here if the BO started advertising the board. I'd rather it be small and decent like it is now instead of big and cancerous.
As for activity, don't hold back if you've got a good idea for a thread. It adds to our PPH and you never know when you'll create a hit thread that draws people to the board or out of lurker status.
