Okay, so I see the Global saying that /o/ is up for claims. Has anyone claimed it yet? If not what'll happen to /o/? Also, post your favorite classic.

355f03 No.4171

why not claim it yourself? I'd do it, but I would just end up forgetting

5b69bc No.4172

I dont know how you would feel with a namefag having the board. i do however know an anonymous friend has made a claim for the board.

0dc612 No.4177

>>4172

OP here. Good. I don't want to see this board die. I don't really care which one of us an/o/ns claims it as long as it survives.

>>4171

Same reason as you plus I'm a newfag, and I don't think having a newfag as the owner would help the boards reputation.

4c7621 No.4180

>>4177

I claimed for it but i dont know if im going to get it. Long as its a /o/ guy then im fine.

Nigga your friend ain't gonna take this board from me.

(OP)

>>4180

I second this.

d31a47 No.4188

also attempted to claim it, I try to always keep an /o/ tab open even if there is never any new posts I promise I will not namefag

f08974 No.4191

Thinking of claiming it since I've actually owned a board before, even if briefly.

Regardless, the new owner needs and @8chan.co email to contact them by listed in the rules, preferably something /o/ related. What should that email address be?

Examples:

>DrumBrakesAreShit@8chan.co

>AlcoholSelfInjection@8chan.co

>MuhVTEC@8chan.co

>HarderThanTheHilux@8chan.co

8f8f6c No.4192

>Check board claims page

>See /o/

>See owner has NEVER logged in

>mfw he just up and left within a month

What a cucklord.

6901d1 No.4194

I would have obtained it but I'm too busy maintaining my board, group and such for /o/ that I unfortunately don't see myself being fit to claim the board.

Not /f1/ sadly, on paper the board has only one active member (myself) but in reality it's because I moved it to /v/ in order to gain awareness.

Just sent in a request to claim /o/ (email hotwheels is the correct procedure, right?)

I check the board daily and have made like 5 threads to try and spark discussion. Hope I get it.

I would've applied, but figured that I would go mad with power and ban all the namefags.

>especially the UTE fag

0bd43c No.4197

I included the cars I own in my application wince he asks for knowledge of the subject. Hopefully that proves to hotwheels I am viable choice, but then again I'm not sure hotwheels knows much about kneels.

They all sound brilliant! I like your idea of making the email a group decision as apposed to it being left up to the new owner. This way whoever gets it, please be a /o/ guy, can't make a terrible email name.

Should we have a vote then?

I'd probably vote

>DrumBrakesAreShit@8chan.co

We can use this to determine if the new owner is one of us.

>>4188

>>4194

Seeing this makes me happy, it gives me hope that /o/ is changing for the better. Plus that it's going to be one of us who gets the board.

>>4192

Wait really? Never signed in? It's a wonder this didn't happen sooner.

0dc612 No.4199

Smart thinking there an/o/n!

Would people be OK with a Subaru Baja owner running the board?

8f8f6c No.4201

>>4198

It's more of a wonder how this board even survived and didn't get swamped with spam if the board owner never logged in after the first two weeks.

Do we even have hotpocketeers here?

>it gives me hope that /o/ is changing for the better. Plus that it's going to be one of us who gets the board.

I hope so. I saw what happened to /o/ and it makes me feel sadness just thinking about it. Too much cancer from every angle on halfchan on their /o/, that and many other boards are corpses of what they once were.

I was originally on /k/ when it was good, saw it fall to shit and left there for /o/, then I got to see that fall to shit as well. Both boards now are not like how they were when I first joined and I was browsing 4chan since 2006.

Sure. I don't think it really matters. That's my opinion anyway.

Hello fellow /ogc/ browser.

On one hand this does show that /o/ never had moderation and was mostly good. But if we get one we might actually become great especially since Hotwheels added a whole bunch of features for board customization I hope he ups the image limit

>>4202

Think it was made during the first Exodus. Then again I don't know much about Pre-Exodus 8chan so.

But drum brakes aren't shit, they have lots of qualities and a very good in anything that doesn't see frequent intense braking as they're just not as good at dissipating heat.

So yeah, they're not ideal for a sports car, but for anything else, I'd rather have drums in the back.

>Less expensive

>Higher stopping power (vs disc of the same size)

>Longevity

>Much higher tolerance to severe environmental conditions

8f8f6c No.4233

>>4230

>Drums

>Good for anything but killing you and anything unlucky enough to be inside your vehicle at the time of impact

Go to bed, gramps.

ed4f9e No.4240

>Due to the fact that a drum brake's friction contact area is at the circumference of the brake, a drum brake can provide more braking force than an equal diameter disc brake. The increased friction contact area of drum brake shoes on the drum allows drum brake shoes to last longer than disc brake pads used in a brake system of similar dimensions and braking force.
