/o/ I really hope you can help me.

When I was younger, my dad built a kickass car.

This thing was fast as fuck It was pretty much his 2nd child He put so much time and money into it and for good reason.

I do not think he ever lost a race with it.

Eventually he had to sell the car for financial reasons. And He did, and I hope he made his money from it. But selling the car was not the issue It was the person He sold it to.

You see, the guy he sold it too then SOME HOW went on to put my dad's amazing car that he built with his own hands and blood. into hot rod magazine (I THINK IT WAS HOT ROD IT COULD BE SOME OTHER POPULAR CAR MAGAZINE)

857e60 No.4414

I am almost certain it was the Halloween issue of hotrod, but I could be wrong.

I know this guy gave the car some kind of gay ass name and claimed "he was born to build this car"

Well as you guys can tell by the pictures This lying asshole did not build my dads car. (these are ORIGINALS and are NOWHERE ELSE on the internet

What i need help with /o/ is finding that issue of hot rod or whatever it was in. I have tried and tried to locate it but I just could not find it. I'm pretty sure it was on the cover of the magazine too

OK 8CHAN IS FINALLY FIXED

TLDR

>dad built car

>dad sold car

>guy he sold it to claimed to have built it and put it in popular car magazine

>pls help me find the magazine

or better yet I am almost certain the car still exists, it HAS TO there is no reason why it would not still be functional. any help /o/ can give would be much appreciated!

may josh be with you

>asking /o/

>not emailing hot rod magazine and asking them what month and year they featured your monte carlo on it.

It's where I'd start dude, just saying.

Also, if you have any information about the year, at least the year it was sold so we have a baseline, or a bracket between which we can search, that'd be swell.

>>4417

I'd have said '79 or '80 because of the rear lights, but otherwise, top notch car spotting.

I'm also disappointed I didn't immediately remember the latest Roadkill episode where they actually feature one of the exact same…

The following might help you as well, OP.

Their website is a little dysfunctional at the moment, but if it made the cover, you should be able to spot it if you have a ballpark year in mind.

The thing is I am not 100% sure it was Hot rod. I was probably 10 at the time and I don't remember much

and thanks ive been looking at these, odds are it was after 2000 that the issue came out

AND NERDS SAY NO ONE GOES ON /o/

Well here's Hot Rod contact info.

http://www.hotrod.com/contact-us/

It'd probably be best to see if you can find the issue you saw your dad's Monte in. That way you could just point at it and have some back up.

On the topic of it NOT being hot rod the only other mag I found that could have featured it was Car Craft Granted I only did a shitty job through Wikipedia. But still couldn't hurt to pursue HOT ROD considering their size and what would be prevalnce. Maybe check with your dad too, he'd probably remember that shit.
