It's because it's a reddit circlejerk over stance and cars they've never driven yet pretend they have. The threads I browsed got overrun by redditors who admit to not even owning a license nor are interested in getting one, the point where they are the majority and want to remove the people who actually drive cars is the point I jumped ship here.
Since there's so many of them from Reddit, I'll bet that in a year or less, you'll see shilling from "le epic Miata!" to nothing but Teslafags. For some reason the sites with Reddit influence also have Tesla shills everywhere and considering Reddit is overruning half/o/ I won't be surprised to see them circlejerking there.
