don't use pic related!

they pick up dirt and rub it all over the rest of the paint. leaves little scratches in your clear coat.

I use a pressure washer with a low pressure fan jet attachment ad a foam sprayer attachment.

then go over with a spray detailer and microfibre.

well you cant be stupid. Always hose the car down to get as much particulate off.

Ive always used a sponge. I first do the top half then the bottom half since its dirtier. then i use this turtle wax scratch remover and then some regular carnuba paste and a buffer.

3a7961 No.5205

Before I even think about rubbing something on my car I usually:

Rinse with a pressure washer, then switch the nozzle to soap and spray the car and let it soak, high pressure rinse, then soap soak again, and high pressure rinse again.

Then I go around the car above the belt line with a shaggy sponge, rinsing often and carry lots of soapy water in the sponge, then repeat below the belt line.

Then a final high pressure rinse.

After that the other day I felt like giving it some more love so I went over it with a clay bar, then dupont teflon wax and a final microfiber buff by hand.

without the sponge you won't need to polish at every single wash.

scratch remover is abrasive. instead of scratching up your paint and then wearing it down to fix it you could try to wash it in a way that doesn't damage it.

No this is a detailing, about every 2-3 months.

My car is black and I have twins.

I always rinse the car and double check for any grime and dirt. I only lightly pass the sponge just to get the soap on there.

There are no scratches made by the sponge. Just a shit ton of almost non visible swirls by the previous owner and all the big scratches by the kids

I was thinking about getting a quick coat a few months back when maaco has that 498 buck paint deal. But the car looks good. When you're standing 5ft+away

Anyone have tips for removing what I have to assuming is dried soda on plastic interior panels? I had to remove part of my center console a few days ago, so I tried to run hot water over it and scrub with paper towels. That made it better, but it's still somewhat sticky. I was thinking maybe some rubbing alcohol or something. I was going to try gasoline, but I figured that might damage the plastic.

before anyone asks, I was not the one that spilled shit in my interior. I bought it like that and didn't notice it at the time

>>6648

I had some weird sticky shit all over my interior when I bought my car, baby wipes did the trick very well, could try all purpose cleaner as well.

>>6648

Meguiar's Natural Shine protectant + microfiber rag has worked decently well for cleaning everything I've tried it on.

If all else fails, spray some brake cleaner on a rag and add a pinch of elbow grease (always test first on an inconspicuous area, yadda yadda yadda).

Are expensive microbrand products worth their high price? Thi

07754c No.6834

>>6833

Fucked up my post on mobile. All microbrand products seem to be expensive, and every single fucker on forums such as Detailing World seems to praise a different product and hailing it as being 'the best'. Is it really worth spending £14 on 500ml of quick detailer, or £40 on a tub of wax?
