Reporting in on this 07 Civic si I got off craigslist last week. No mechanical problems found, almost everything is stock. Only issues are minor, those being a small paint bubbling spot on the corner of the hood (can see in pic), front accessory plug doesn't work but that's ok the rear one works, also someone painted that plastic bit in the grill red which looks OK I suppose. Fucking love it so far, wew!

Good upgrade from a Taurus. Plan on doing anything with it?

Nah I'd prefer to keep it as stock as possible. It's probably going to be impossible to find one of these that hasn't been riced out 10 years from now, so I figure it'll hold its value well if I just keep it like it is.

First car was an 89 Civic like the one in the pic but rustier.

Latest car is an 01 S2000. Shame there are only going to be a few more nice weekends here in Mass before she goes into storage.

>>6408

That's my plan too. I'll probably change the exhaust, but the wing and LS swap will have to wait.

You don't happen to work at quonset point in RI do you?

Every other day I see this silver s2000 head to the shipping yards.

Not me, mine is the yellow one in the picture. I did bring my Mustang down to RI a few weeks ago though.

>tfw no EF SI hatch

>tfw can't find one without rust

>tfw the ones without rust are riced out

>tfw the ones that aren't riced out are all over 5k

>tfw the ones that aren't riced out or rusty are automatic

I really want an EF to build into a little sleeper, but I can't justify spending so much on a Civic.

For now I have a 99 accord coupe. 5 speed with the F23. It's not a bad car, but the motherfucker leaks water all over the passenger side floor. I've had the carpet out the last two days trying to dry it out.

I plan on keeping it for a while, so I want to prevent any rust I can.

I wish I got into modding cars before I sold mine. The rust holes would've made it lighter.

Should I buy a brush guard like this for my newly purchased 2001 CRV?

Only if you're either going to

>A) Take it off road you won't because it's FWD. It's unlikely it's ever going to leave pavement

or

>B) You live in an area with a high concentration of deer

If you have a shit load of deer around you, go for it. If you live in the city or suburbs, you're wasting your money unless you just like the looks.

The CRV I bought is AWD and yeah, I have to deal with the constant threat of dear every time I want to go anywhere.

Do it. They're pretty much indestructible so it might as well look the part. My parents have owned 4 so far, 2 were sold with over 200k miles, other two they still have. Sister has one too.

I still haven't gotten around to taking photos of it yet, but this is my CRV, I've only had it for 5 days

I liked my '97 CRV, I got it to go 106 on the highway when I was driving back from somewhere I shouldn't have been. Being 16 was fun.
