Are there any car/Subaru forums left that are

>not cancer

>don't have modfaggotry

>everything a chanfag hates

Fucking mod of a Dutch Subaru forum said I shouldn't quote posts too much, now that's what I call autism modfaggotry!

How's NASIOC? First glance it looks shit because "register and you don't see any ads!" stuff (I have ABE, tho)

Pic partially related, it's my fav Soeb.

Fuck, don't play BeamNG and type a message on /o/:

>everything a chanfag hates

should be

>doesn't have anything a chanfag hates

Problem with all JDM brand's is that they are mostly owned by young folk especially the hellaflush titanium ehaust stanceworks skunkworks weaboo fanboys. So finding a good board is really tough unless you manage to befriend the older more mature members on those boards.

Anyway you can always come here for some help or opinions. We have some really good anons who know their Shit here. We are a very underrated board, but at least it keeps the weaboo stance boys away.

Also to bad the board owner is a shithead and doesn t swing by too often.

NASIOC is full of retards. There are kernals of good info in there but tons of FUDD, and you have to be able to identify what is and what isn't.

Once my legacy dies I am done with the brand, the community is fucking garbage.

It's a shame, the 2000 and older cars are great.

958555 No.7169

>>7159

Shit, do all car brands have shitty communities?

If so, I think I might not get a car for the time being then.

Confirmed.

I own an 85 GT-s corolla, fan base, yes I call it a fan base because they do nothing but jerk it off, was fucking terrible

>DORIFUTOOOOO

>INITIAL DURRRRR

>I WANT ONE SO BADDDDD

>DAGOOMEEEEEEE

>INITIAL DURRR

>DRIFTUUUUU

I'm willing to bet none of those tards had one.

Knew a friend with a '88 and he basically told me the same thing. 95% people that watched InD and think they're car experts and don't own one, 4% InD fans that own one and are memey about it, 1% chill owners

Just think about how many weeaboos tried to drift like in their animes and smashed against a wall

At least their numbers will get smaller each year

I pray the car itself is fine and they go flying over the guardrails.

It's not the dream car everyone makes it out to be. I honestly hated the handling of the thing when I first got it, but it was either that or a caprice.

foxbody mustang and camaro/firebird communities are usually pretty decent, as are most GM/Ford forums until you start talking about high end models or special editions such as corvettes, Shelby mustangs or Camaro Z28s and the fanboy autism and flame wars begin

FD RX-7s have a great community. Yes there is drama but there is a hell of a lot of vetted knowledge.

RX-8s tend to have a good community.

E36 M3s used to be almost as good, with a bit more of (BMW did it this way so why change it). Unfortunately a lot of those owners seemed to have moved on.

I think the rule of thumb is that the more help the car needs to be reliable the better the community (and the cheaper the car is used :) )

bf7cc1 No.7546

You're better off finding a smaller one for a particular model if applicable. Tbh I don't go on any Honda communities because of how toxic it is, and now with Porsche since 15 year olds started storming rennlist and others with their RWB fantasies.

There's subarujusty.proboards.com for the Subaru-made Justy, and plenty of Suzuki forums for the Suzaru made Justy.

So, yeah, you're pretty much fucked if you want general car talk.

Most of them are rotten to shit anyway, or have worn crank bearings because of the shitty oil pump design. (steel pin on a alu front cover, fuck you too Subaru for not putting a bronze insert in the cover!)

Delorean owners are said to be very nice people. Half of them made them into BTTF cars, but they're nice people enjoying their cars.

From what I've seen mustang people are nice,

Is the community really that bad for Subaru? I hate when something I love can be fucked up by assholes. I guess I'll just enjoy my car once I can get a wrx and not deal with them.

I know this thread is old, but it's a slow board. We can talk about this stuff hear.

I might as well ask if it would be looked down on to put the STI spoiler on a normal WRX if in the future I can't afford the STI.

I'm a bit bias, but I do like all gens of the car. Even a newer one would be okay with me.

2b1fa1 No.8745

>>8740

It's your car and you can do what you want however as an STi owner if you put the STi wing on a WRX I'd view that as ricey unless you went full ST I conversion. Full conversion would be a waste of money imo and you'd be better off just getting an STi instead. I personally only keep the wing since my car is completely stock but when people see it who don't know any better they will still shit all over you for having it.

The Subaru community is full of bros and tryhards so I avoid it completely. There is a decent camaraderie where passing by any other turbo Subaru will almost guarantee a greeting though.

68a470 No.8746

>>8745

I guess I'll have to keep my eye out for a used STI or when I get a good job get a new one. I don't care what non-car people think about what I will or won't drive. Too bad the community sucks. The other car I want is a mustang, so I can always join them and keep my jap car a secret.

What year do you have?

2b1fa1 No.8748

>>8746

I have a 2005, imo it's the best model year since it was the first year with the improved interior and it's my favorite exterior as well. 2006 fucked it up with the hawk front end and double wing, don't like the hatches at all, and the new ones look terrible to me. It is missing the throttle modification switch from the later models but I don't care too much about that.

The STi has DCCD, a better transmission, better suspension, better seats, etc which make it a much better value. My dad has had two WRXs, a 2004 wagon and a 2009 hatch and both have had transmission failures. The 2009 also had the common head gasket issue. As you probably guessed its hard to find one that isn't beat to shit so you want to get it checked out before you buy it.

I like the 05 one, but I like the 06 for the things you don't like it for. Too each his own on that I guess. I've never drove a new one, so I have no idea how they rise, but I do like the look of it.

I've been forewarned by 2-3 people that I should watch out buying a used WRX/STI since it being a rally car, was do doubt used like one by the owner. and given how mostly young people drive them they get beat even harder.

Maybe the new one in 2-3 years will be nice when I will more than likely be able to afford it. I almost never see any normal Impreza let alone a WRX. I've seen more GT-R than WRX around here. I even see more LAN-EVO. a car I will admit is cool even if it's the rival car ;)

Has your 2005 had any issues in the transmission?
