I think there's very little any one person can do about it. As CGP Grey said - an insurance company's best customer is one that pays their small premiums and never gets in an accident. Autos don't get tired, sleepy, drunk or stupid - they do their work with significantly less reaction time and tirelessly, being able to sense their surroundings in not only a more complete, but also more accurate and arguably better (radar, infrared, high FOV cameras, ultrasonic) way, something that humans fail to do at a yearly cost of 30k lives in the US alone.
