In the Middle Pillar ritual, as described by Regardie, he mentions circulation from Malkuth up to Kether as an inhale and Kether down to Malkuth as an exhale.

I would've thought it'd be opposite - as in, inhale (inspiration) from Kether and exhale (expiration) from Malkuth, generally?

Can either be used, with different purposes? If so, anyone care to elaborate on how they use/interpret this?

Personally, I actually find inhaling from Malkuth to give better results, so far as feelings of well-being go (makes one feel taller), but according to Blavatsky (IIRC), one should always draw first from Kether.

I saw the headline of the pamphlet in your picture and clicked on it with my heart rate going up and about to enter rage mode when I read the rest of it upon making the smaller text bigger and found myself agreeing with what it was saying.

I think perhaps you're putting more thought into it than was intended by the author if it wasn't adequately explained in the source. For the most part, these rituals are based on communications with spirits, which is why there are often revisions by later practitioners. If your intuition is pulling you to do something different, do it that way unless your experience seems to show that it isn't working. Even if you don't fully understand your intuition now, if it is correct the reason will be revealed to you later.

>The New American Movement [NAM] exists to help organize democratic socialism in the United States. Our aim is to establish working-class control of the enormous productive capacity of American Industry, to create a society that will provide material comfort and security for all people, and in which the full and free development of every individual will be the basic goal. Such a society will strive for decentralization of decision making, an end to bureaucratic rule, and participation of all people in shaping their own lives and the direction of society. We believe the elimination of sexist and racist institutions and the dismantling of American economic and social control abroad are central to the struggle for socialism.

Sounds like some OWS bullshit to me, I don't trust it.

I've already responded once, but I came across something that I think is relevant to this conversation. The middle pillar ritual is, the way I learned it anyway, basically an energy building exercise. I'm reading a Robert Bruce book right now which suggests a similar practice in which you pull energy from the feet up to the scalp with an inhale, then push it back down to the solar plexus to be stored with an exhale. I'm not sure if you're familiar with chakras or Taoism, but both ideas place an energy center there. I've often seen the tree of life drawn in relation to chakras, and I think this is where the middle pillar ritual comes from.
The book also states that the hands and feet are points from which energy is gathered from the world around you, while the head is more prone to release energy. I think this is why it should be fine with an inhale drawing from the bottom, as you are pulling energy into yourself with the air. As you exhale, you are letting the energy fall into place.
I don't understand your post one hundred percent because it's been so long since I've done the mpr. I don't remember how it was explained to me. I believe my post is relevant, but even if it isn't, I hope it's something to think about.

>the hands and feet are points from which energy is gathered from the world around you

This is what confuses me. The Middle Pillar, as I understand it, aims to pull energy from Kether. "Inhalation" I generally regard as pulling from.

As the energy from the Middle Pillar has its root in Kether (the head), I would've thought this is where we'd inhale from.

… unless, maybe, the Middle Pillar aims to sequentially pull energy from Kether downwards to Malkuth… and then the circulation is an attempt to circulate that energy which has been seated in Malkuth (The Earth) throughout the body?

Any experienced magick-fags want to
chime in?

(Also, will try the exercise you mentioned and let you know how it goes)
