Thought my board was caught in a bug where it wasn't indexing properly even though it said it was indexed in the board settings. I think I might have just been using the Title box of the board search function (instead of the Tags box) the first time around and that's why it wasn't showing up.

Based on my understanding of how the current claims system works. It essentially means that, on that date, an email will be chosen from all of the ones sent before that date.

Now with that said, i'm not sure if they send an email letting you know if you were rejected. But i'll be sure to ask about that when i get the chance.

And within regards to how long it takes to get a response, on the claims page it says "Claims emails may take up to a week to be responded to depending on the board in question".

So that's why you won't always immediately get a response.

I remember back when I tried claiming /ameta/, I didn't manage to get an email back, and then soon afterwards it went off the claims page. Though I mentioned openly in one of its threads I was planning on claiming it, so I'm not necessarily pointing any fingers here at anyone other than /ameta/'s board owner.

The answer is no, they don't currently send people a followup email letting you know if you've been rejected. Now i'll admit that this isn't ideal, and they're well aware of this.

Hopefully the claims system can get a complete revamp once infinity next has been fully rolled out.
