000000 No.46153

1) I've noticed in the last month/couple of months that only the "catalog view" gets promptly updated. Very often the standard view doesn't sort the threads correctly (as per last bump). index.html may show deleted/pruned/banished threads and sometimes only catalog.html shows really recent threads.

This happen both on the clearnet and on the Tor version of the site.

2) Also. Sometimes (I've noticed this only posting via .onion) a "successfully submitted" post doesn't show up nor bumps the thread until a new post is made to the same thread. This is a variant of the "double posting" issue (when a "probably not posted" post was, in fact, successfully submitted but not showing, and the user was invited to post again)

1) the site is literally falling apart under load levels it was never designed to handle. maybe you've been living in a cave in afghanistan for the last year or something but that's why it's being rewritten from scratch

2) see 1

>Afghanistan and its famous caves

Sometimes I envy the imaginative fantasy of you funny americans.

No, college took my life in the last couple of months. Sorry if imageboards aren't my numero uno occupation - I apologize if I've disappointed you in my non-NEET lifestyle.

>muh load levels

No; as, I wrote, this sheep hoarding Pakistani forum used to work properly (as in: didn't have the "bugs" I described and I've seen reported multiple times everywhere). It may or may not have been shitting itself sometimes, but that's something that happens on 4chan as well.

The bug can't be explained with "load levels". It seems more a misconfiguration. Furthermore, the "load levels" seems to be way more "lighter" now than few months ago.

>that's why Infinity Next

Why the reply to anything on this board seems to be "Next"? It was a fugazi months ago, it's not an answer to the thread. Thank you for reminding yet another times something completely unrelated to the thread, duly noted.

I take it you're not an english major huh cause you sure can't fucking read anything laid out before you

I can read English and whatnot pretty well, kind Sir. Thank you for bumping the thread and for pointing out that, actually, "I've disappointed you with" would have been more correct. I guess that correcting grammar on a korean tea brewing forum is a really satisfying job - and I guess you're doing it for free, too. I also wrote " yet another times" - you've better correct that too.

I'm sorry I can't boost your IQ or reading comprehension and I'd gladly hear an official answer on the topic rather than baby-sitting your puny shitposts.

The site used to have less-than-perfect performance under much heavier loads but did not have these "bugs". I do believe it's a misconfiguration. Whilst we happily wait for Godot, it would be nice to have this misconfiguration fixed.

disconfiguration would be more accurate

after all, there would be no reason for people to donate to Infinity Next if this site was working properly

>disconfiguration

From the recent unfolding events - and allegedly confirmed in >>46416 - it seems it was pretty much a disconfiguration, yes…

I find difficult to believe that no one "in charge" noticed a too shitty performance given the current load so far. The cripple is all acting like all was done beyond his back, but afaik he's the official sysadmin of the site and the one who appointed Josh.

"Better late than never"? We'll see
