okay, it seems that infinity next is actually infinity never unfortunately.
There are many feature suggestions that were pushed off for infinity next, so I think people should post them in this thread.
/operate/ was pretty dead since everyone was waiting for next, but now that next is never coming I think its pretty relevant now.
I had a couple of ideas that I didn't think were necessary to bitch about until now, since next would have fixed.
I don't have anything major to suggest. These are things I think that can be fixed now and would make using this site more tolerable.
Please don't tell us to wait for vfec or lynx. I don't think many people trust it to come any time soon considering next, and they can both fail.
And if you can't actually fix it given the current software, please say that too.
Some suggestions:
MAKE THE CATALOG THE DEFAULT PAGE FOR BOARDS
there's no point having the index being the default front page right now. It's just one more click.
I think this should actually be an option for the user, and maybe a board option.
MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO CREATE THREADS FROM THE CATALOG
I think we should have had this feature before, but it was probably pushed off to next.
Considering everyone has to use the catalog to see threads, it makes sense to be able to create threads from there.
ADD BACK EARLY 404 TO /B/
spam is extremely rampant there, and I think early 404 was a nice solution to it.
There have also been a lot of threads that automatically 404, and they take up space too.
I don't want to make /b/ mods too rule cucky, and they really seem to give zero shits about the spam, so I think this could help without having them do much.
There's shit I've forgotten about, but I'll add that later. Someone should probably make a list.
