CHECK HERE FOR CLAIMS UPDATES
So in order to sidestep any future claims miscommunication, I felt it somewhat necessary to tackle one of the more common questions that I've been
seeing over the past few months.
"Why haven't i received any response for my board claims"
1. If you sent one of those claims during the months of December 2015 and January 2016, and haven't seen a response yet, then that may be due to the recent
issues surrounding cock.li. your best bet would be to simply resend those claims.
2. It states on the claims page that "Claims emails may take up to a week to be responded to", so if you're wondering why that claim you sent in yesterday
hasn't yet gotten a response then i'd simply recommend being a bit more patient.
3. Larger boards are typically put on hold for 1 week, with an announcement in the blotter. After that initial time has passed, then a
new BO will be chosen from a selection of available emails. Existing board staff will be given preference.
4. If you notice that the board you sent a claim for is given to somebody else, then that doesn't mean anything wrong has happened. The most likely reason
for this, is that you weren't the only one to send a claims email for that board.
5. Another thing worth noting after #4 is that after a board has already been claimed, those whom have already sent in emails for said board are unlikely to
see a response or get any sort of rejection email.
6. If you neglect to set up a recovery email for that board you recently created, and you subsequently forget the log-in info for that board. Then you'll
sadly have to go through the whole claims process for that board.
7. Please remember that, as of this writing, that 8chan has nearly 10k boards and only 1 board claims manager. So it's only inevitable that you'll occasionally
have to deal with a delayed response at times.
Now if you think your specific situation isn't covered in the above, then please feel free to report it in this thread. And if you also have any thoughts relating
to 8chans current claims system, then don't hesitate to also post them in this thread.
