I have the same problem. There are certain IPs that just seem to be able to get past any bans.

But no one seems to be working on the site now so whatever.

Not only that it's fucked over 8ch on archive.is. It's fairly obvious there is a concerted effort to shutdown freedom of speech here.

There are multiple boards now with threads discussing the archive.is blackout due to the CP spammers, and archive.is not having the ability to filter. The blackout fucked hundreds of /pol/ threads >:|

IMHO the best deterrant to the CP spammers is a new global rule: posting CP to non-containment boards == public IP reveal.

Posting CP fucking anywhere should be grounds to report the spammers to the FBI.

While they're probably using proxies; VPN providers are pussies who almost always submit when the law cracks down on them. The guys running the operation are probably also based in the US.

The hashes do not represent exact IP addresses. You can even test this at home, kids:

>obtain smartphone

>disable wifi; this must be done on mobile data

>https://8ch.net/v/

>type "mark is a fat jewish faggot tbh fam" in comment field; create thread

>get b& (if not, repeat the preceding step until you do), note the IP address in the ban message

>Enable airplane mode

>refresh page just to be sure

>disable airplane mode

>Create the exact same thread

(the rest is dependent on your cell phone service, so don't be surprised if it doesn't work or you have to repeat the process a couple times)

>voila, you just ban evaded

>get b& again

>note slightly different IP in ban message

>wait at least 20 minutes

>check ban list ( https://8ch.net/bans.html )

>wait another 20 minutes and check the ban list again because it's slow as fuck

>note that in spite of their numerically different IP addresses, your bans share the same hash
