/pdfs/ - Rare and supressed books

Ok so I just found this board. Cool. I like it.

I have been looking for a place to offer digital typesetting services to the thinkers of fullchan. Also a place to deposit essays that people from here have written, on any topic.

Essays are meant to be read and critiqued so that only the most reasonable ideas remain, but I fear the art of the essay is being lost, and communities of correspondence no longer exist in ways that they used to. Whether this is the case or if there is anyone responsible for it is the subject of its own essay and not this post.

Here's what I am offering:
>digital typesetting to PDF format from any text source
>source must be OC: I'm not a library or university press, I'm a typesetter
>PDF will be formatted to match a standard established here so that it could form a coherent anthology of work, a good index is a goal of mine (I will pick a formatting standard if no one else is concerned, it's a personal passion anyways)
>aside from formatting, I won't be doing a lot of editing, maybe a cursory spell check as I copy and paste the author's text
>PDFs will be compiled using LaTeX, I can also talk about LaTeX in this thread.

If there's interest in this at all, I'll set up an email address for people to send to.

I don't know of any longer term repository we could count on, unfortunately.
