Let's face it. We can't even agree amongst ourselves as to what we want.
You have the anti-touch camp saying look but don't touch. Don't jade them in their youth, just admire them and enjoy their company, but hands off.
You have the pro-touch camp saying, let them do it if they want to. It should be up to the kids to decide what they want. All fine and dandy, except at what age do they know what they want? One day a certain type of food is their "absolutest mostest favorite food in the whooooole wide world!!" Two days later you give them the same thing and they act like you just put a plate full of dog shit in front of them.
We can't even agree on what age is acceptable to begin a sexual relationship with a child. Who's to say what's too young? You? "Bob" over there picking his boogers and eating them? "George" over there with his Mensa books and pocket protector?

Guys that like babies and toddlers are especially vilified. I saw a post where a guy said he'd like to cum on his kids as they were breastfeeding and the comments were that he was sick and that was going WAY too far. Why? If that's the age he's attracted to why shouldn't he enjoy them? Oh wait, cuz that's too young, right? Whereas a 5yo or 7yo or 9yo isn't. It all depends on YOUR AoA, not anyone elses, right?
Then there's the divide between the ones that say it's okay as long as you have a relationship with the child, but God forbid a person just wants to fuck around with girls/boys and not be their "boyfriend"/"girlfriend". How much do we really have in common with them? Are we going to sit there and really be interested in what happened on Sesame Street today? Do we really want to listen to Banana's in Pajama's on loop for 3 hours? How many times can we watch Cinderella without wanting to run to the bathroom and toss our cookies? Some of us may be on the same maturity level as they are, but the majority of us aren't.
I'm not passing judgement on anyone's beliefs, I'm just saying with so many differences amongst ourselves we will never get anywhere with the rest of society.

You've got to go in stages really, as far as acceptance goes. Arguments about actual sexual relations with anyone under 18 is a VERY distant issue in my opinion. That's a discussion the pedo community shouldn't even consider right now.
Right now we should be focused on just acceptance and changin our image. We are NOT criminals and rapists. We are people who did not choose this orientation and we do not deserve to be hated when we haven done anyhing wrong. That is the current issue we should be trying to spread

but I have to agree with MCKD here, ultimately I've had to go with the hands off approach because I'm not going to jail for sex that's stupid. but I don't condemn people who don't take that path. the main thing is understanding that no matter how you go about it, simply being what we are is difficult and not something anybody would choose to do. I don't know why some people are hurting children intentionally but it makes us look bad, so I hate actual child rapists most of all, but it's true most of them are nothing like me, I wish people could understand that...
