Good news and bad news, but mostly good news.
Google's reverse image search results ended up being something of a red herring. I also didn't find it on any torrent sites (though I didn't really have enough sauce to look well, it might actually be on one).
Tineye delivered impressively, the only result led to a posting with a still-alive link. But it's one of those "get premium download" things and more clever than most, prepares custom multipart zips made from single files for free users. So I did what I normally do, downloaded one and switched IP, but then the file would get to 99% and say it was corrupt. So I overrode the md5 nonsense and took the broken file and tried to play it. Most of it seems to work but the last 30 seconds or so seem broken. I figured I might be able to fix it with a run through ffmpeg, but it's high quality and it was going to take this computer forever, and melt it.
So I read some fine print on the download site…it only extracts to a valid archive if both of the pieces are downloaded from the IP, since the server generates the zip files it must use the IP as some sort of hash to make things mismatch if incorrect and cause problems.
So, now I'm redownloading from another IP, have one piece and about a 40 minute wait on the second piece, then I'll upload to mega.
In the meantime I'll see if I can make any decent clips out of the mangled file and put them here.
Also I have this site on my radar now, so eventually I'll try to grab what I can and make clips of just the action bits.
I need a new computer, this backup is really outdated and not even very upgradeable.
