Hi everyone! This board is brand new, so don't be turned off by the lack of posts. I've seen many signs of interest in permaculture on various boards, especially the various anarchy boards and /prep/. Let's collect this interest and start discussions about techniques, principles and ethics. Here's to a long and prosperous life for this board! Cheers.

Your humble mod,

purdyboi

Hey, saw the link to this board on /prep/. I'm the board owner there and I'm considering getting rid of the board soon and just sticking to my original board, >>>/poverty/. So if you'd like to blatantly steal any of /prep/'s content for this board, you're welcome to. And I'd love to link between here and /poverty/ if you're down for that.

There's also /home/ - homesteading. They have 9 unique IPs at the moment, you might want to post over there, the users might be interested.

Anyway I'll try to contribute some posts here soon.

Hey, thanks man. I really appreciate you wanting to see a good, cohesive community form around these ideas on 8chan. If you do choose to abandon /prep/, I'd be happy to take in the frequenters of that board, if you feel inclined to recommend /perma/. Considering the smallish, slowish (but lovable) community that 8chan has, I think it's a good idea to consolidate ideologically similar boards that have small user-bases.

I created this board because there was no board for gardening, but I'd like /perma/ to be a board which welcomes discussion of anything related to the PC ethics and principles, including homesteading, self-sufficiency, disaster preparedness, low-impact lifestyles, etc. A long as it's driven by compassion for living beings and concerned with achieving maximum thermodynamic efficiency, it belongs here.

I'd love to have a good relationship between /perma/ and /poverty/, since they share many of the same ethics and indeed techniques.
