I'm not saying women shouldn't be allowed to play video games, but I am saying we should do everything we can to force them to keep it a secret. They're the reason all this shit happens in the first place.

>>47I think it is more of a phase. It used to not be cool for guys to talk about video games, now it is. Until very recently it was not cool for girls to talk about video games, and to some extent it still isn't. We will get to a point where everyone is fine talking about video games.
Although, I do miss the old days of "tits or gtfo" for dealing with attention whores.

>>47Ignoring the outliers, women behave like children. A big reason as to why they behave like children is because us, the men, have coddled them like fucking infants since time immemorial. This is a gender and a group of people that has never been encouraged, nor had any reason to create the neuron clusters (known as habits) that would make them and the society around them awesome and more functional. We've got these pathetic whimpering white-knight beta archetypes idolizing women and femininity; Not even putting the pussy on a pedestal, but putting everything associated with women at all on a god-like level of reverance.
Your post comes off to me as genetically fatalistic. If that is the case, I disagree. Women are responsible, but they fell off the wagon if they ever were on "the wagon". They're at an infantile state, they are not going to be fixed amongst themselves. Men and women are responsible for the state of women. If we prioritized crucial, functional habits in women they could be on our level. They could be badass in many facets of creation while still maintaining the feminine essentials effectively not crossing over to masculine aesthetics or features. This ideal is far, far away so don't think I mean to say it's pragmatic to work towards such a thing directly immediately. The leftist shitheads assure we can't have that.
Tl;dr: Let's not think that women are inherently fucked. They're just a canvass for habit formation

Nah, I don't think it's the women. It's first and foremost the poser "culture", also known as "casuals who associate with a culture because it's the hottest shit at the moment".
This is not happening because they are women, we have always had women in gaming and nobody gave a shit about it. However, after the poser boom, fake gurl gamers started popping out of nowhere.
They don't enjoy games, they just play them because it's cool. You will see all these girls play are popular games like Skyrim and League of Legends, but nothing more niche like Monster Hunter, Street Fighter or Metal Gear Solid.
As I said before, we all knew that girl who played Pokemon with the rest of the boys when we were in elementary school. Nobody hated her for being a woman playing videogames, she was just yet another member of our brotherhood. This continued being like this for a while, until girls who knew jack shit about videogames started claiming they were "so nerdy and geeky xD".
There are girls who play casual/non-hardcore games every once in a while and enjoy them, but they don't brag about it or call themselves gamers. They might say they like videogames, but don't consider themselves gamers or hardcore gamers. This is healthy, no need to push them out.
There are girls who love videogames and play them since they were young. They don't bring up they are women unless asked or when it's specifically necessary, trying to follow anonymous culture guidelines (personal information not related to what you are talking about is irrelevant and therefore should be avoided). These girls have probably been here with us since the start, and this is healthy.
Then there are the girls who will bring up they are girls every time they mention how good they are at League of Legends (when, in fact, are actually very bad at it). These girls often have accounts in social media where they upload sexy pictures of themselves, and they may also have a photo of theirs as their profile picture. They usually have their hair dyed red or any other fantasy color.
These girls, those who post at /r/gamergirls, those who try to bring up attention to the fact they are girls playing games. Those girls are "the enemy".
You also have male dudebros who play games but insult the gamers they believe are too nerdy for them, but those just insult other gamers. They also don't have an army of whiteknight behind them.
In other words, the problem here is posers, not females. It just happens to be that female posers are more dangerous thanks to their worshipers.

If it's the first, then this is relevant.
If it's the second then this is probably a poorly named board

The Cultural Marxism is apparent from the research, but calling it out beforehand muddies the waters

It seemed implied that this is a casual board without much specificity that focuses on deeper, underlying political aspects of GamerGate.

>>573>I think these types of threads are distracting from and burying important content. It would be more efficient to prioritize action-based threads that relate to cultural marxism. But then again, it would be more efficient to talk to the board owner about making it a priority in the sticky and deleting casual, unrelated threads than giving your opinion to individual thread-goers.
The zeitgeist of this board is ambiguous, but I will abstain from posting unless it's in an action-based thread.
Talk to the board owner or comment on the sticky, I will offer support.

>>124This. Posers have always been the enemy. Kotakuand their ilk are all posers. That's why they all go on about how games need to be more mature, and artistic - because they see no inherent value in games. They need to try to make it seem like it's respectable by other common societal standards. 'Art has value! Maturity has value! Other things are childish and have no value…'
They're the kind of people who would say that MGS is a great series, but couldn't tell you why. They constantly call for more 'mature' narratives or more 'diverse' representation in games, because they only have surface level experience. Actual gamers understand that those things have always been there in the greatest games.
