The left is all about control, the fundamental constant in thier philosophy is they believe they are absolutely correct. If some disagrees then they are either ignorant or worse. Every group creates boogeymen though, its not limuted to the left.

Its just that the left wants to go to extreme lengths to 'correct' the 'problems' of those that disagree with a monopoly of force, almost always the federal govt.
