Id like to start with a question… is pedophilia forever? I posted this over in hebe before I realized that this board exists but its a question that is sort of weighing on me.

I first had my feelings manifest when I was about 22. I didnt really think anything of it, because it was just loli, but after a few months it sort of hit me. Children are thought to not be able to consent as a rule. I believe the legal and medical establishment is beginning to realise that informed consent is possible for some young kids.. but the rule exists. I believe working on this, firstly, making the AoC a little more flexible, is a good move.

Perhaps if the parent consents, the child can be assessed psychologically for capacity to consent, therefore legally permitting the child to do so.

This seems to be the main sticking point in the justice system. The whole situation is based on assumptions and frankly, we can do better.

Mentally incapacitated persons can be tested for capacity to give informed consent, why can't children? Social conscience restricts the question even being asked.

The root cause of the problem then, the way I see it is not so much consent-incompetent minors, but incompetent parents in general.

Which frankly, I also see reflected in the way the legal system just suddenly "kicks you out of the nest" when you turn of the various mish-mash of legal ages, of so-called "protections" that minors "enjoy" under the law, and basically washes its hands of what happens to you and leave you to make mistakes and expect you to learn from them and own up to your own responsibility.

Why, for example, is there different ages for criminal responsibility, sexual responsibility, and legal responsibility?

Part of the problem is how the state views people, and how parents view their children: As having less rights because they have power over them and that makes it easier.

Lately I've been hearing more and more about sex, CP, children, etc on my favorite podcasts. To my surprise the guys I listen to most who are parents have said that they treat their own kids like people instead of babies, interacting with them as they would any other adult. The sooner a person can walk, talk, and think for themselves the better. Paedophilia and Ephebopbilia are Psychologically much different!

There needs to be more teaching understanding, and legal definition on the difference between, the sexual attraction of non pubescent children (paedophilia) and the sexual attraction of early-mid pubescent teens (ephebophilia) because they are totally different, and should be understood and especially legally treated as such!

ok, I'll admit, it can be painful sometimes. sometimes I really do feel like I'm a really bad person. but for all my making myself suffer, deleting things, putting off masturbation, I am still aware that I really have no choice about what I am (not who I am, that's all up to me).

I try not to think about it, there's a hell of a lot more to life than just wallowing in self loathing. like jerking it to cute little girls, or playing awesome video games, or writing which I do as a hobby and am trying to do professionally.

I know logically that I'm actually a good person and that enjoying something isn't wrong regardless of what it is. if anything is wrong it's the action not the enjoyment of the action. or the decisions we make rather than what we are.

as far as other people who want me dead and want me to suffer, well, I understand their viewpoint but I'm not concerned by it. they were probably molested or know someone who was. in fact, someone important to me was molested and suffers from ptsd because of it (and other trauma regarding her father, who is also my grandfather…) and that's part of what makes things difficult for me. but ultimately I know I'm a good person. so it really doesn't matter.

I don't even entirely rule out the possibility of fulfilling my fantasies… if a super rare ultimate perfection scenario arises…
