Damn I wish I've seen this sooner. I don't get to play as much as I like, but I love Splatoon. None of my friends who own the game play it anymore. If you still play I'm interested in playing with you sometime. If not it's cool, I understand it's been almost 3 months since these posts, lol.

I need to start playing more often. The problem is, I like competitive play, and so I need to find or host some tournaments to hold that interest. Did Nintendo host that tournament they spoke of in the Direct yet?

Yeah, they hosted it, but it was a tournament for Nintendo Treehouse employees only. Unofficial tournaments are held pretty regularly though. In fact the 3rd Inkstorm, the biggest Western tourney that also allows Japanese teams to enter, is coming up this Sunday. It's streamed on twitch and it's really fun to spectate if you enjoy watching some good competitive players.

I'm also interested in competitive play but I'm not all that amazing. I'm busy most of the time so I don't get to play as much as I'd like. Still it's the game I poured the most time into on the WiiU.

Based on what I've read on /hebe/ back when it was bearable, there's a pretty definitive consensus that CP is generally pretty fucking terrible. It's said that most of it is too-young girls that don't know what they're doing at all sucking the dicks of disgusting hairy fucks who sound as fucked up as they are.

Almost all tournaments are completely organized online by Squidboards or general competitive game tourney holders, so there's no meeting up. Though Japan has occasional turf war tournaments with cabinets that hold multiple WiiUs I think.
