I can relate to the "Bieber yolo txt speak shit". I can't stand it either. My current gf is only 18 (I say "only" because I am an old fart) and there are times when she texts me that I have trouble understanding what she's saying. And as for the music she likes, well, let's just say I sometimes vomit in my mouth a little when she puts it on the radio in the car, lol.
But I've learned to at least tolerate it. The bad part of inter-generational relationships is that we most often find we have very little in common with each other. Most of us don't like the same types of movies, the same music, the same food, etc. I'm not saying we are completely opposite, but just that as we get older and "more refined" for a lack of a better term, our interests change, while they are just becoming interested in the things we abandoned several years earlier.
There's a lot of "give and take" in relationships like this. You have to be able to adjust, and so do they. They have to understand that every night is not party night, or that sometimes the music is just too damn loud and needs to be turned down to a level where people three states away can't hear it. Sometimes McDonald's is 'not appealing for dinner, and that you'd far rather go to a nice restaurant for steak and lobster.
It gets easier over time, trust me.
