Well, there are multiple problems.
First and foremost, the site is broken, and has been for months now. It's gotten so bad that a lot of boards don't refresh their index, that is, the front page, more than once a day. To use 8chan right now and actually see what threads have been updated, you need to go to the Catalog, and nobody wants to do that, it's completely lame.
There is a fix in the works in the form of the board software being updated to a new engine, but that engine is basically universally panned. It sucks, it looks ugly, it is choppy and hard to use on mobile, it's incompatible with ChanThreadWatch, but it works. Posts go through and don't take forever and the indexes update.
However, once that fix happens, as in, the coder, Josh, who some people suspect is a MAP, by the way, fixed all the bugs his dumb ass caused, the entire site rolls back to the point at which the data was imported to the new engine. To be more specific, if I remembered the numbers right, every post on this board after >>5170 is going to go away when they change over to the new board engine. So, basically, every Board Owner and every user of the board just barely gives a damn, because everything's just going to be deleted anyway.
I'm sick of the bullshit, though, seriously. This rollover needs to happen, immediately. It's been two weeks or so already! That's a lot of content that's going to be deleted! I'm really pissed off at the incompetent buffoons running this site.
Anyway, I'm going to tighten things up massively when the rollover finally actually happens. I have many chips on my shoulder, and some heads are going to roll.
