In the Tale of Er Plato talks about reincarnation, and he must have gotten the idea from the East. How much did he get from the East? Was Plato religious?

2ee91a No.1868

Plato gives an argument for it in the Phaedo. TD;LR: Opposites tend to arise from each other, so why is life and death any different?

But he was religious in the way a Pythagorean or a cultist (not the crazy ones) might be, but not in the way a Christian was.
