>Indonesia's air force was searching for an AirAsia plane carrying 162 people that went missing on Sunday after the pilots asked to change course to avoid bad weather during a flight from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore.

>Indonesia AirAsia Flight QZ8501, an Airbus 320-200, lost contact with Jakarta air traffic control at 6:17 a.m. (6.17 p.m. EST), officials said.

What the fuck is it with Asian planes going missing all the time?

I don't know but it's kinda funny in a sad way. Maybe it really was weather this time instead of a total mystery like flight 370 though you would think a mayday call would have made it out. Either way now I know what region of the world to never work for.

Much of the evidence so far seems to hint that the pilot attempted to ascend to 38,000ft when he hit chop and stalled out.

Guess he was unable to recover

Shitty fucking way to lose a plane

At least their CEO seems humble and diligent in getting information out to families of the deceased

Lol Asian airline flights keep going missing. It must be their procedures, or maybe they are just very unlucky…
