Dude do your research. Many of the politicians in the cities were former communist activists who now run as mayors and city councilors. Even most of your lowly barangay captains were activists in their youths advocating for the "oppressed and shiet". These guys then fund the NPA and whatnot behind the scenes while taking public funds even though they were the ones decrying "corruption" when they were still activists.
