Just an fyi, I plan on changing up what we're advertising ourselves as.
First off, advertising ourselves as wanting to replace /vp/ as the main pokemon board is more of a longterm goal. It sounds, and kinda is, Farfetch'd, though it's not impossible, since /vp/ is rather small in comparison to other boards. Also considering how popular 8chan has become. However, we shouldn't focus on that. Simply trying in succeeding in increasing activity, will prove what we can be in the future.
Also, because we all know we're still gonna browse /vp/ and /pk/, myself included, as long as /vp/ at least has something good there.
So…
I plan to advertise ourselves purely as the best alternative, as a "Sanctuary" for whatever isn't allowed on /vp/, and/or for whoever just wants plain freedom of opinion and to post, etc, without worrying about the mods/jannies being dicks. That'll also make us look more serious and casual, because after seeing the criticism about how we're advertising, I honestly get what they mean. I know not everyone's ever gonna be pleased, and there's always trolls, but I do see how it may have been approached wrong. After all, I wrote all that up in a period of anger. I always try to see criticism constructively, if it can be.
We can still do whatever here, but trying to replace /vp/ is not something that'll happen anytime soon, if at all. And I still plan on greatly advertising, because I want all to know that they have an alternate place to go to if they so choose, for whatever reason.
If I get at least one thread to stay up on /vp/ for at least 20-30 minutes a day, that should keep good advertising. I don't plan to quit anytime soon either. I won't let this become /poke/. Help advertising is still really appreciated, like the giveaways one of you anons came up with.

I'll re-write the copypasta pastebin and the "Welcome" sticky later on tonight/tomorrow, and then we continue on.

But over all, I want feedback on how you guys think this should be approached? I think what we're doing is good, but I want it all to be done in the right ways. But by no means, do I plan on giving up.

That one was stood out to me too. However, I'm really pushing the constructive criticism and opinions so anyone can work with me to fix something that can be better, thus, hopefully fix any problems that would result in a new board creation. I'd love to move here since /vp/ is just a bunch of bullshit (I got banned for three days for a single Goodra reference, Jesus Christ), but I really can't; the site options in 4chan are way better than here. The ones I especially like are the image hover and infinite scroll options, as well as having a textbutton at the end of every thread to reply to it without quoting someone.

This will help me know what to advertise. I'll make fake threads of those purely to advertise they moved/can move to /pk/. Anons who used to participate/enjoy those threads will naturally click on them and see that they can come here. This way, I don't have to always post my big pasta and look like an ass, while still getting our name out there.
Edit: I also wanted to mention that I made slight edits to the Welcome sticky, to change the tone of the overly aggressive advertising, while still promoting advertisement and encouraging various ways to do so. Nothing major to note though.

First off, I wanna apologize about any delayed responses and not being around the last day and a half. Busy weekend. I'm about to address multiple things.

I anticipated shitposting from the beginning, but did not expect Bui to turn on me, thus no serious shitposters with much power. Maybe I should've, since making this board probably makes me a huge faggot in his eyes for being a good guy, rather than just being a random dude who he gave a VPN to to shitpost on /vp/. I guess I shouldn't have made it obvious to him who I was, but you can't change the past. Since he hates me now, it makes our board a huge target, unlike /poke/.
Though, I don't fear shitposting, because with normal shitposting, you do it manually and that takes time. If a mod is on, your posts get deleted fairly quick before you make much progress. However, the threat of a spambot scared me. A spambot can flood the board by itself and right away. I've already contacted Hotwheels about how to handle such a threat, and the option to implement Captchas will be added tomorrow. With captchas, spambots will not work. How you like that Bui? I'm sure you guys are like me, and liked the fact that 8chan has no captchas. They're annoying. But as you can see, there's a reason they're on 4chan, ans there's a reason we will be implementing them.
Bui's goal is to shit up the board. Why? I'm assuming, for one, to piss me off, two, to turn people away from /pk/ when seeing a shitty board, three, make me look bad, and four, to discourage me in hope I'll give up on this board. Unfortunately for him, I'm not a weak-minded person. If this board had gotten no where since I made it a week ago, yeah, I'd probably give. Nah, as stated earlier in the thread, we never really knew each other, we just communicated so I could get that VPN to ban evade. Regardless, he seems to be samefagging hard to appear as two different people. Even trying to convince me in IRC the other night it wasn't. As we all know, banning people who can ban evade does nothing. But from now on, I still plan on perma-banning anyone who's post points to it being Bui. Why make it any easier for him to reuse IPs? This includes any threats at spamming, or saying "wanna yiff? xD". So please, don't joke and impersonate him or anything, because I'll take it as a serious threat. I don't wanna false ban anyone. It's all a violation of those few rules I have in place to keep this place from becoming a shithole, as explained in the Welcome sticky. "no spamming". I'm considering some things very hard, but I need some opinion.
First off, I'm already running out of energy and dedication to /pk/. Idk why, but I just really don't give a fuck and I haven't felt well lately. But I don't want to just abandon you guys after all we've done.
One thing I want to do is get some volunteers(mods) from some of you active productive posters. You guys know who you are, so if you're interested, let me know by quoting this post. Keep in mind I can see what posts you make, and if you haven't made a lot of posts, I probably can't choose you. This is to filter out potential bad choices that could fuck things over. I know who I can trust. But it won't hurt to let me know if your interested.
This let's me have some people to take care of things if I can't be around. And in the case I decide I don't wanna be around at all anymore, I'd want to transfer ownership to one of you, who I know will carry on my ideals of what the board was made.
I have some other things I need to take care of in regards to /pk/ before I make anyone volunteer, but I need to take note of those IPs first.
If I get no one interested, well, Plan B isn't gonna be as nice, but it's all I'll have left to do.

Like, sometimes the board is in fucking spanish, and sometimes things don't update right, eg. I see a thread has posts on the main page, but when I open the thread it isn't there. Also, when I unstickied those threads, a few still appeared sticky for a whilewhen they really weren't.
Also fyi, /poke/ is ahead of us again on the active boards list, so advertising should ideally pick up again for a while for the sake of the board. When and if all activity is lost, I'm done.

That being said, while there were one or two people thinking it was Bui, mods came again to confirm they were two different people. But yeah, Bui is clearly much worse than Goodrafag.
About the split, I understand it better now, and yeah, I think it's upon us to choose which side we prefer. Still, thanks for the answers.
